Prince- One last movie

Purple Rain was a International hit,UTCM was and remains a fan favorite,Graffiti Bridge is considered by most as just a feature length music video. The SOTT movie is a 1987 classic.Along with his numerous TV guest appearances the New Girl episode being one of his last.Would anybody else would have liked to seen Prince in another movie?

I would to see him in a loving wholesome parental role with all the normalcy of families go thru of what he keeps hidden to deal with everyday interactions right then n there on the spot no running to studio to write or play anything just deal with issues head on that's the movie I wanted to see him since he couldn't or wouldn't handle in his own right in a positive light

He's made other movies that haven't been released.

There was an IMAX movie made from the Symbol album tour that was never released

There was a full movie for 3121 that was never released

I'm sure there are others.

Sounds like a reality show smile I agree with u I've thought of that before.Seeing Prince as we've heard he was would have gave us a better understanding of the man who gave most of us the soundtrack to our lives. The isolation Minneapolis provided was a double edged sword in the long run for the man we saw earlier this year.

I've always thought he could have played a mischeivious villan VERY WELL. He was so great in the Batdance and Partman video. I would have loved it if they would have made up a roll for him. Or he could have play joker VERY WELL. Not the dark one, but the Jack Nicolson type. The crazy in the head, funny and spunky. He played it so well in the videos! And one of my favorite looks! And the difference between his actual self played in the video vs when he had the BM/joker outfit on is a huge difference. He turned up the personality 100 fold for the joker role.

Agree. He was hilarious. And I thought the comedy in UTCM was hillarious. My husband said it used to be his and his best friend's favorite movie back in the day. I die every time I see it. SO FUNNY, and yes some cheese added in, but mostly funny.

After UTCM, I always thought he would be excellent in a film version of Colette's "Cheri". Sort of a similar gigolo theme.

The creator of Luke Cage said he wanted him to be in the show. He would have been a really good actor in small parts.

That would have been great! His whole smirky face is perfect, you wouldn't know whether to love him or hate him.

Also would love to see the 3121 movie. The whole Latin dance vibe the trailer gives off is very intriguing.

He'd have been a great comic book villan. Or some kind of mystic.

It'd be awesome to know which parts/roles he turned down, because he must have had offers over the years (ie fifth element). I wonder if he was ever offered animation voice-over stuff.

i've been saying it for years, i always thought he could have been a fine filmaker had he known how to accept help and take things slower. I thought under the cherry moon showed a great eye for photography and i do recall steven berkoff saying "curiously, he directs quite well". He needed to reign in the wierdness and to be ready to put more work into a film, meaning revision. The loopy shit that worked with his music was bound to make a movie flop. In other words, as Berkoff said, he needed confederates, or, without that, he would have had to have learned how to accept that the first idea off the top of his head would need to be revised/examined/worked on/ and possibly extracted from the work. One of his main shortcomings, even with his music, was thinking that everything that came from him was some divinely inspired art and that he didn't have to craft tweak things. Ok with his music (or not depending on who you listen to) horrible for any filmaker. too many bases to cover.
