Who is Prince singing about?

Great song! I've been listening to it a lot lately.

I think he was singing about a person or people at Warner Brothers. Or the whole Warner Brothers experience.

I'm pretty late to the game, but I do agree with those who say the entire "Chaos and Disorder" album is a giant middle finger from Prince to WB.

It does seem that way. And I don't guess they did like some of people think even people I know personally got back at him 2 years ago by slowly taking him out, not necessarily because of this album but because of getting his masters back 2 years ago and then saying around end of 2015 that he would tell a Artist not to sign with a label... Strange Stuff
