Love Left Love Right

Anybody ever talk about this song on the end Of the NEW POWER GENERATION single...before it starts it sounds like a copy machine is running and I think P says something like is everything okay back there...I think this cut is funky ...how bout you?

Moonbeam

It is one of my very favorite Prince songs- top 20. It's my favorite B-side of his for sure. It's just too funky for words! It beats anything on "Graffiti Bridge" in my opinion.

Great choice moonbeam...I actually thought I wouldn't get any response on this post but I am surprised that at least one orger thinks of this as one of their top 20 faves...happy to hear it...smile

Loveleft has always been one of my fave GB era songs smile
love the bass, the music... It's part of a 3 song cycle that's supurb (get off, lubricated lady & Loveleft Loveright)...
I also included the track on my Dj Starr edition of Gb wink
"Time is a train, makes the future the past"

Doesn't it say something on the cover about the material being recorded over a long weekend on a visit to London? I get the impression it was thrown together pretty quickly, hence, the 'tape running' bit, I think Prince wanted you to know it was pretty spontaneous stuff.

I've always really liked this track but just assumed no one else did. Better than all but 3 tracks on Graffiti in my opinion (Joy, Question and Still ).
Go ahead flame me, I always enjoy a Barbie.

It was recorded at Larabee in Los Angeles over a week in October 1990. That IS the sound of an engineer bumbling with a tape machine at the begginning...
