yes! i was furious over his brit awards acceptance speech--i forget which year that was '94, '95? it was his most cryptic speech yet with lots of pauses: "prince...best? the gold experience...better. on [mumbles] free, on [muffled] slave. come, get wild. peace." or whutevuh! and he had to be nudged to even go on stage to get the award. and neneh cherry was laughing at him. he and stevie wonder have similar public speaking styles. | |
