The first sentence of Prince's Wikiledia page breaks my heart

"Prince Rogers Nelson WAS an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer"

It made me realise I've not accepted it yet.

I have a page on my Pinterest site with pictures for singers and actresses that I liked and have passed away. The page is called MEMORIES. I just couldn't make myself put Prince's pictures in there. I just can't. sad

I'm somewhat in denial, I guess. I still listen to him and when I do, I only rarely realize he's no longer with us.
Last night, I watched a live dvd and enjoyed it as if he were still around us.

I still feel the same.

It's a bit tragicomical how quickly the word "is" gets replaced with "was" when a famous person dies. I think it takes just a few minutes when someone like Prince, Bowie or MJ dies. I found out about MJ's death when I happened to go to his wiki page and saw the past tense appear in the first sentence.

Same exactly. Only a few minutes after the news broke. Hard to believe this was 7 years ago confused
