I think utcm would be seen differently
even as an ardent prince fan, it was hard to catch up with him. Every new album was a wtf moment. You'd only just got used to ATWIAD not being PR, then you get Parade.

Now you can reflect on it as a passage of life, and enjoy it for what it is.
