April snow in japan

I read somewhere about the last concert of 86 in Japan where after the song Sometimes it snows in April prince smashed his guitar is there footage of that?

There's very badly shot footage taken by someone pointing a camera at one of the screens, though they are unable to hold it steady for any period of time or get the image properly centered. It's not an enjoyable watch, but you get to see him throw two guitars to the ground at the end of Purple Rain (not Sometimes).

I don't know whether there's any higher quality video out there. This one is pretty easy to find with the right search terms.

^^^ Agree, the footage is rough throughout. But to know it exists at all is great. He was soloing during "Purple Rain", and the guitar sound was cutting out. It got really bad on his guitar. He was in the moment, with full on guitar face, and got really frustrated and threw it on the ground. His guitar tech immediately brought another cloud guitar out. It was on YouTube for a while, and it was a very, very nice find. But also sad since it was the last Revolution show ever, as a whole group.

Just as a side note to those who don't know: One of the last songs he sang was "Sometimes It Snows In April". Near the end, he shook his head and said "beautiful" - just as a nod to the moment. Wendy & Lisa mentioned that in a song on their first solo record, "Song About",

"It makes me want to cry
Thinking about you
"Beautiful," you said
The way you shook your head
So strange, that no one stayed
At the end of the parade

The whole song is about Prince. Apparently, that moment had as big of an impact on Wendy and Lisa as it did Prince.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.
