Yes or no. If Prince's remains are on display at Paisley, Do you approve? No.

I approve just not front and center like it is now. I believe that the staff should be more sensitive to thise fans who are uncomfortable with "him" being the first thing they see. I believe he should be placed in a beautifully decorated room to himself and have the viewing of him be made optional to those who may want to see.

It's very appropriate. Thanks to Prince's family for doing this and being so compassionate, thoughtful and respectful towards Prince and his fams.

Absolutely yes. And they should be front and center in my opinion, so he stands guard- like an angel.

His family approved. I will defer to them.

Agreed. For the family and family alone to decide.

It's not for me to approve or disapprove. Quite honestly, I was shocked when I read about it. The thought of it just turns my stomach, but it's too early for me to understand what that means.

Agree with where they are,(as others have said) he is home and this is for his family to decide.

No. I don't think Prince's remains should be on "public display". A loved one's remains is very "private", and should be kept in a private place. Not sure who's idea that was but, that just does not sit well with me. Yes it is his home and yes I do believe that he wanted to be there for his fans. At the same time I know of a few fams personally saying that they no longer want to go because its the first thing you see. They would rather it be made an option. As much as I love Prince its already painful being there, having his remains being the first thing I see is just too much for me

Agree! Exactly where he is now. He loved Paislw Park. He was always front and center. Where else would he want to be?

YES. | |

Gives me a strange feeling... I just hope it's well guarded/protected

Maybe. I'm in the minority obviously. I'm just not comfortable with him being part of a model to be gawped at. I can't believe he'd have expressed that wish to anyone.
It just makes me so sad. | |

It just makes me so sad. I feel the same. "We just let people talk & say whatever they want 2 say. 9 times out of 10, trust me, what's out there now, I wouldn't give nary one of these folks the time of day. That's why I don't say anything back, because there's so much that's wrong" - P, Dec '15

Hopefully, it will also help the healing process of many fams that are grieving.

Yes. People been going by Elvis's grave, roped off like a sideshow attraction, for decades - in his own backyard! It's no different for Prince's remains to be left over. All of Paisley Park is his remains, so his ashes belong there. Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

I think it is the natural place for his remains to be. But it turns PP into a mausoleum. Maybe that too is how it should be. The wooh is on the one!

Yes, although I was initially very taken aback. I don't think I would have liked being surprised by it, though, as the initial visitors were. Future groups can be prepared, at least. And I can completely understand if there are people who no longer want/are ready to go because of it. That said, it is socially acceptable to have a loved one's remains displayed in an urn on the mantel in your living room. I think that the atrium probably served the same purpose at Paisley Park. If the manner of display is a bit more ostentatious than usual, well, that's also in keeping with Prince's personality, IMO.

Yes. I was startled at first--and I'm glad I'm prepared for that next Friday--but I'm so glad to know he's there so I can say goodbye. For the incoming guests, I think the knowledge that Prince is there instantly puts you in the right frame of mind. Paisley Park is a memorial, at least for now in the early days. It's not, and I hope will never be, "Prince the Theme Park." The facility manager called it, "DaVinci's workshop." Yes, exactly that. And the MUSIC continues...forever...

Yes. I think it's the perfect place to keep his remains. For the sake of those who would be uncomfortable with him being front and center, maybe he should be placed in another part of the tour and made optional. I would love to visit with him.

Yes. It might not have been my first choice, but I think the family knows best in this regard. And, it sounds like his remains are situated almost directly underneath his beloved doves in the atrium of Paisley Park. I think Prince would like this final resting place very much.

You make it sound as if there's a ring of ash around the areas that are off-limits.
How do you know it wasn't his idea?
