Tears came out of nowhere

while I watched this.

Fuck guys, I'm still grieveing. What a painful, painful year.

What makes me so sad is how lucky we were to actually live this
as it was happening. Right before the times when America started to go sideways.
Rodney King is our Altamont.

Prince makes me feel as he always gave me more than I gave him,
and I gave him quite a lot. Love AND Money AND Time.
But he always found a way to thank me more.
Giving more than receiving.

I'd gladly wash his feet, cuz money at this stage doesn't mean shit anymo'.

It's a beautiful sky above Versailles.
To anyone of you who are still stuck in one of the four stages,
I send thoughts and pretend to give a kind, smiling tender hug.
Better days will come our way.

Maybe people say things and regret it later we are all human. Not saying what they say was cool.

I was shut up by the Dolphin/Heroes medley.

Serves me right.

For the record, the post was about Prince not making a public homage and you know it.
Otherwise you only read what you want to read, and that makes you irrelevant on the spot.
He had a Twitter account. The karma thing was overly harsh, I'll give you that.
I just couldn't believe he was twittering pancakes and not tweet a word about Bowie.

My first stage of mourning is anger, what is it that you don't get.
Deal with it as an adult. You just ignore it if it makes you uncomfortable.
Like a should have with hanging schlongs, although I still think there's a time
to take, and a time to share some stuff, and we all have a different humour,

and we come from different cultures, etc.

Don't cut my phrases and rearrange them at your will, and moreover out of context, it makes you an impostor.
An like whomever Orger Thou wilst, what the fuck do I care.
If you trip on harsh phrase and don't give the global meaning of what I'm trying to say priority, that's your problem. And that's your waste of time to go google after some post where we can all see how harsh/mean/homophobic/mysogynistic/paranoid/bipolar/whatthefuckyoufeellikeprojectingonme Bonato is.
Go give your labels to someone else, they don't stick on me.
I'm fluid.
I said I was sorry here and there, but you only see what you want to see.

Let it go.

And frankly, you're polluting an emotional moment.
What are we playing, "you did it first"?
Eye 4 an Eye?
Go soak your head.

I know exactly when I'm being a prick, I don't need the mote and the log from you, especially if it's copy-pasting. Next time Express yourself.
Now, can we please have some fucking Peace & B Wild at the same time around here?
At least in this thread.
Go see the whole ten minutes again, I don't think you even did.
It's more about what unites us.
Maybe you was distracted.

Peace,

I read that post back then and it made me angry. It also made me angry because youve made many posts that were spot on about the music etc that it always killed me that you did that Bowie one. You seemed to have been one of those who "got" Prince. I'm glad ypu explained.

Grief is hard for everyone, and we get different places at different times. We even backtrack sometimes.
I'm still surprised someone I never met can have such a hold on my heart. But that's what music from someone of P's magnitude does. We have so much to use for memories, aurally and visually.
Like my friends whose child was killed by a drunk driver who skipped the country and any consequences, I sometimes think we are all stuck waiting for the next shoe to drop. We've had so many. And they've all hurt us over and over again.

Great post bonatoc. I share your pain... And yet somehow Prince and all that he represents still helps us see the beauty through all the sadness.

Prince was a sincere soul and that transcends everything. I too love that BBC documentary. [hug goes here]

Ah, I'm already in a lighter mood.

Soon I'll be ready for P's dubious pants seams.

Yes, we lived it, and it is forever etched in our hearts. We are so lucky that we grasped it. I kind of feel sorry for the ones that wasn't moved by his presence while living in the same generation. They missed out on so much. Prince has proven to me what a profound impact an artist can have on ones life, not only through his music but also through his very existence. He meant so much.

Is anyone else at the point where you say, it's over our Prince is gone and we can't get him back, so what's the use of keep talking about it?

It's like I'm living a nightmare and it's never ending. He's gone, but forever in my heart.

Or, is it there are still too many unanswered questions, that I can't let go?

Anybody else feeling the same way?

I can't seem to get over it either. I break down every time Purple Rain comes on during my drive to work, and I listened to Sometimes it Snows in April the other day and completely fell apart. The thing is, I don't really have any friends or family that are into Prince and so I feel very alone in my grief. I told myself that I need to be more active on here instead of just lurking, so here I am. Sometimes I feel so odd for feeling this way but coming on here makes me realize that I'm not alone at all. broken hug

Its very comforting to me that you are also subject to random emotional outpourings in the way of tears...

I watched If I had a Harem the other day on youtbe....and even though P is hilariously funny and lighthearted and brilliant as always in his performace...I cried ..very Hard actually...

not becasue he is gone...but more becasue I just never feel he gets enough Credit or praise...

I want the whole world to experince HIM..becasue to Me

Prince is an experience and the Tears that he can still evoke are a beautiful part of that....

Thanks for your post x

I miss him too. Still can't believe I'll never see him again. I took for granted the time he was alive. I guess I wouldn't feel so bad if I had never met him in the real, and took for granted that I'd see him yet once again and again. I really got a rush each time we saw each other knowing he knew who I was. And that sweet peaceful look he gave.

Hugs back....

It's hard... he did give us so much. All he created was to last forever even though he wouldn't.

I miss him too......... listening to some songs still just give me goosebumps all over. Songs that I never liked have become loveable.......

He was The force to be reckoned with..... deep, spiritual, funky and beautiful all in one. heart heart heart heart
