Face Down

Is so badass. The album version doesn't do it justice at all.

Trying to get my collection a bit more organized and found an 8:33 live version listed as coming from "Prince - 57 Inches". From a gig in New York.

Must be a contender for definitive live version. Does anyone know specifically which show it comes from? - I can find references to the 57 inches CD but can't see any that list the specifics.

I'm pretty certain that's from this cassette release (from NPG, not a bootleg). The performance is from Jan 11 1997.

There is a live vid clip of FD from Vegas that is astonishing. He does a move while playing bass in which he plays standing on one leg with the instrument between the other. The sheer balls to even try it...crazy.

Hunt it down...I think they took it off YT.
