Prince & Jean Michel Jarre connection?

So I have thought about this for a long time, but never quite sure, hoping someone from the Army can confirm this.

I always thought Jean Michel programmed his own synths, like Prince...
especially on his Zoolook album.
But listening to some of P´s stuff, like the black album and the end of "Hello" the extended version where he talks...
I hear the same sounds as JMJ used on Zoolook.
Did P do this on purpose? Was it just a coincidence? Did P like JMJ's music?
All I know is what JMJ wrote on twitter on april 21st:

Although both artists are known for programming and sound design (particularly JMJ), both were also known for using stock sounds already on the synth, which is the same for many artists. If the sound is right, it just is. For example, virtually every sound on SOTT (the single) is a stock sound on the CMS Fairlight (which was reasonably new at the time). The drum programming for Alphabet Street was created using an Akai MPC60 and literally uses the first 16 presets on the machine at power-on! So, the similar sounds you are hearing are likely just presets that were used by both artists because that particular sound worked.
...we have only scratched the surface of what the mind can do...
