List some of your favorite prince dance moments..

Not just the splits please.

Anyhow, I am not sure I am allowed to post links. But I found some clip of Prince dancing in 2010 or 2011..a sort of pop and lock kind of dance with fluid leg movement at the end of Kiss. Great stuff. I couldn't believe he could still dance like that. No split or heals but still impressive.

Also some of his dances with those three dudes (game Boys) are pretty impressive (I belive from the nude tour).

I think "Hot Thing" on the SOTT tour was rather interesting choreography. Also, in the movie during "It's Gonna Be A Beautiful Night". There's a lot going on. Sometimes everyone is in on it, other times people break up and do different stuff. After Sheila's rap, her and Cat stand side by side (facing stage left) doing an arm gesture a few times, and the guys are all the way on stage left doing something totally different. There's a lot going on in that song with choreography.

I also think the breaks in the medley on the Parade tour was fun. When he starts "Raspberry Beret", and blazes through all those songs, with all the breaks and fills... we're so used to hearing it on boots, but to see it is kind of fun, too.

Lovesexy Tour had some really weird and interesting moves. "Glam Slam", "Erotic City" (in the whole beginning sequence), "Head" come to mind. The stuff he did w/ the Game Boyz during the GB/D&P time was very athletic, but relatively uninteresting (and frankly a little homoerotic in this homo's opinion).

The funniest, to me, is in the infamous Warehouse rehearsal tape - June 7, 1984, the same day as the gig at First Avenue. Prince does this weird leg trot thing that is so corny and hokey, but he did it in concert quite a bit, too. I think he does it during "Irresistible Bitch", I think. You'll know it when you see it.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

From the Parade tour, birthday concert in Detroit - the bit at the end of the verse of "Controversy" where he kind of struts towards the back of the stage then to the front. This bit. It's short and simple, but I always thought it looked cool. Tried it myself loads of times back then and always looked like a buffoon.

Yeah, that is exactly the clip I was talking about. Love it. Other ones I liked are on Jay Leno to Musicology and the the Mutiny clip from 86

"Baby I'm a Star": PR the movie, American Music Awards 1985 (especially when Jerome comes in), Syracuse...
Dortmund 1988, the intro medley: the interplay with Cat and Sheila.
Cobo Hall 1986, the toothbrush and cologne routine, although one could say it's more mime than dance.
"Kiss", the video.

For some reason, I've always found these moves to be fascinating. I guess it's the way the music and movement goes from chaotic to BJB and these funky moves.

This, absolutely. Really hoping they put out a decent recording of the whole show at some point, and not hacked to pieces and put back together in the wrong order like the broadcast version.
