Poll: Are You More Into Prince, Less Into Prince or Equally into Prince?

Since April 21?

My answer:

More

While I've always listened to Prince it's been basically ALL Prince since then.

I go through spells of obsessing over him, and then other times I get too depressed to listen to him. sad (I've been a fan for about 5 years and missed the chance to see him Live in London too. Not to mention he died on my birthday! eek )

I need more info about the meaning of equally into Prince.

But I would say more into Prince when it comes to the knowledge. I check on the org for information about what is going like events and stuff. But as far as musically I would say at this moment I am less into Prince. It is too painful for me at times listen to his songs. But its depend on my mood also. Because when Prince died I was playing his music nonstop for two weeks then as time went by it became less.

Indeed. Sometimes I can...and on other days, I can't. I have to do it on the right days.

I'm like a few others, on some days I'm neutral, on some days I fight tears and on other days I want to listen to him all day. But I love him just as much as I did then.

More. You don't realize how much you love someone until sad
I asked Prince what he was planning to do. He told me , I'm going to look for the ladder. I asked him what that meant. All he said was, sometimes it snows in April. - book D.M.S.R.

The same, I was listening to Prince a lot before his death and still a lot afterwards.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

Ohhh, I made the mistake by listening to The Peach & Black Podcast (they're to damn good). The last day, I listened to the Crystal Ball (Part 1&2) review and started thinking about Crucial when they dissected the song. And then I realize why he is the greatest musician the last 50 years and why I can't listen to other artists. So yeah, a lot of Prince music. Still, not a big difference from when he was alive.

I guess the same?
I discovered Prince in '82 and he was my #1 for the next decade. For various reasons the next two decades were an on-again, off-again type thing until i became obsessed again in 2013. Prince has been my #1 again ever since. On April 21st I stopped listening to music altogether but slowly became able to listen to Prince again, but only Prince. I have zero interest in any other music right now.

Yeah, not unable to listen to him, but just unable to enjoy it as much. It's taking me a long time to get over his passing, just not feeling it, or something doesn't feel right
We're here, might as well get into it.

I'd say equally. On the outside it may seem moreso just because I'm still grieving, so my focus on him has been at an all time high. But the level of interest has never changed.

Equal, I never stopped listening to his music. However I notice at moments my perspective/ appreciation has changed. Some songs and cd's (for example art offical age and hitnrun 1) have more impact for me now then before his death. Also his last piano and a microphone tour.

Same as I was before his death. Immediately after his death I didn't listen to him to a few days but after that I was back on.

Same. It's a strange, conflicted feeling though. If I'm honest I rarely listened to his music over the last several years - of course, when a new album came out I'd play it, but if I listen to music I like a mix of stuff, not just one artist all the time, and I'm the same now but I find it quite tough to listen to a lot of his music. I listened to an album of his in the car a while back and found myself noticing the things in it I didn't like more than the bits I liked, which was strange. Also, I'm finding it tough knowing I'll never see him play live again, and whenever I get an email from a ticket agency advertising new shows I tend to delete it without looking, because there's no chance Prince will be there. Still get choked up when people mention him not being around anymore though.

More. So very much more. I never counted myself as a hardcore fan before his death, just a long term, old-school one. Until I started listening again, rebought old albums that'd aged out on cassette, filled in some I missed over the years. And... I don't know what happened. I fell in this time, truly and deeply. And forever. heart
And the MUSIC continues...forever...
