I feel the same way. I was there between 2000-2002 during the 1st celebration and all the Friday night parties thereafter until he closed to go on tour. A great time!

During that concert, members of the Revolution (Mark Brown, Dr. Fink, and Bobby Z) came on stage and played with Prince.

Then, we all got to have an after-party at Paisley Park.

Was fortunate to gop to the 1st ever celebration & it was stunning. Tour guides were super knowledeable, saw more rooms than I could have ever imagined, working band in the studio [FonkyBald heads!] , various NPG band mates freely walking round & chatting etc. Instruments galore, stories galore..got to play on the Linn Drum machine!! etc.

I was pleasantly surprised with how light it was in there as the place lacks windows but there are lots of skylights overhead. Our tour guide was fine but didnt offer any information I didn't already know. Never tried any of the food offered in the cafe area off the gift shop. All in all it was nice to get a glimpse behind the scenes at PP. The round bldg looks to be in disrepair somewhat. Hope they fix it up and use it for something in the future. I still think its a waste to let all that equipment and those studios stand empty and quiet. Artists should be encouraged to use PP for what it was meant to be. Concerts should be held there. Just my two cents. Staff we encountered were all nice and pleasant.

bit more. I think the doves would be my undoing. I agree that the studios should not sit unused, and

that there should be concerts held. I also think that showing past live concerts would be awesome.

Thank you for sharing this. I am planning on going next year, probably in May. At first I was going to go in April but I think it would be too much emotionally to deal with. I'll probably end up in the bathroom with leaky eyes myself. I still am grieving, like many of us here.

I wish the title of the thread could be "Paisley Museum Gets Denied" and then some rich fan bought it and turned it into something much better - the way Prince would have wanted it.

The original business plan did mention limited use of recording studios and monthly concerts for the future. I think it's early days and things will change over time. I'll be curious to see how it does over the winter when it's cold and snowy in Minnesota.

Yeah, I worry about that too. In the meantime I think The Revolution should go on tour and have Sheila E and The Time as their opening act. They could play small clubs. I'd pay $100 to see that. Enthusiasm for Paisley Park will slowly wane. Not enough casual fans even know it exists.
