Paisley Museum Gets Approved Chanhassen city council just approved rezoning Paisley Park as a museum. Days of operation right now will be Thursday thru Sunday 9am to 9pm. A number of business owners/chamber of commerce members got up and spoke in favor saying it will be good for the city and they've already seen an increase in business.

Awright, that's what I called getting down to business...so happy...Prince would be happy for all the work and years he put into PP. I think it was his plan from the beginning for the fans. By the way, did you realize that the foyer of PP resembles the inside of a guitar? It's amazing...what a genius... |

Watching this city council meeting is so frustrating. I swear these council members (and some residents) just like the sound of their own voice. Paisley Park is in your heart

Thanks for sparing us the suffering and letting us know that the rezoning was approved. Complaining about Uber and Lyft...geez if they're that worried about just tell them to drop off and pick up at the parking ramp and let people bus to the site. Graceland can provide this info to both companies so they can update their GPS systems. Not complicated! Plus Graceland said uber and lyft traffic was less than 1% of ticket buyers. Good grief. Sounds like some of the local city council meetings. If I were at the Chanhassen meeting in the mood I am today, I would have spouted off. "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

I hear you. I have sat through many of these meetings and wanted to jump out of the nearest window.
This is great news but the next time these yahoos have an urgent agenda item maybe they'll address it in a tmely fashion. It's not like they have a whole lot else going on there.

Great news indeed! Especially for those who missed out due to the cancellations, or simply couldn't go for whatever reason. Hopefully you will now be able to buy tickets and schedule your trip with confidence!

Yay!! That's good news.
I tried telling everyone it would be good for the business', and was told that it was just a sleeper community.
Thank you City of Chanhassen! |

I was on their site trying to get some info. I read were the city manager and some other commission people recommended approval earlier today and on the 19 th. Yay! Maybe I will replan that voyage I asked Prince what he was planning to do. He told me , I'm going to look for the ladder. I asked him what that meant. Paisley Park is a permanent museum.
.
The Chanhassen City Council voted unanimously Monday to rezone the property at Highway 5 and Audubon Road to allow Prince's iconic studio to open to tourists on an ongoing basis.
For the past month the facility has been open on a temporary basis while concerns about traffic and pedestrian safety were reviewed.

Wow that is a lot of people in just the few days it was open. My anxiety level would shoot up if I came across crowds. |
