None of the above. There's a TON of music out there...

Prince is one of MANY artists I dig, so it's not hard to find something else to listen to. You can burn out listening to just one artist all the time. Although he has a large catalog and you can listen to different albums/songs and not get bored for a long time, so do some others. Don't misunderstand me; Prince is my man, he encompasses so many different things for me, and he casts a large shadow by covering a wide canvas, but I don't neglect other great music because of that. Like right now I'm still obsessed with the Funkadelic reissues, and "Funk Gets Stronger" has been on constant repeat for me. Right now it's putting that dip in my hip. Earlier I listened to TRC for the first time in about a month. And I've been listening to a particular Prince boot lately. But I listen to others because just like Prince, they bring something different to the table. It's good to get a different musical perspective sometimes, no matter how great Prince is.

But know this: if Prince's albums were remastered with better sound I'd be listening to his old stuff with more frequency.

it's funny, the more time I spend here (which has been a lot the last 3 years or so), the less I want to listen to Prince. It's like I've just gotten too close to the source, I've gotten to know (about) him too well.

not to mention the fact that his music has really sucked the last 5 years or so, to me anyway. but I always look forward to whatever's next.

I may have gone that long too, I'm not totally sure. And if I did it was definitely sometime in the '90s.

I go through periods where I'm listening to Prince all night and all day and, then, nothing for a couple of months. I don't know. I'm weird like that.

DAMN, I go abut 2 or 3 months at a time. when the last albumn is tiresome and the new on it's out yet, if he takes too long I go back to controversy and start over.
