From an auction site, there's an employment agreement for Prince to act in Purple Rain which gives his address as one I've not seen before.

680 North Arm Drive - was this one of his properties? Did he ever live there? I'm only curious because I didn't recognise it at all.

Years ago I saw this agreement on a website with his SS# displayed for the world to see. We also see another address on the letter that is being auctioned off on the Julian's auction site.

Well, now we know how the "purify yourself in Lake Minnetonka" bit came about, anyway.

This may well be a less well documented residence of his, immediately prior to superstardom. It seems a rather nice home, and one consistent in value and design with his increasing wealth by approximately 1983.

That speculation should be carefully balanced against, if this is a property meaningfully associated with him at the time, that it may be a 'legal fiction' satisfying a contractual requirement or an insurance/security requirement imposed upon him by production and/or the backing financiers/underwriters. He may have been leasing it, as he did with many of his LA residences.

By late 1983, most of his recording was done while in LA at Sunset Sound, or in the East Lake St / St Louis Park Warehouse while in MPLS. I don't believe anything was newly recorded at the Kiowa Trail 'purple house' after about early 1983 (although he lived there partially as late as mid-1985).

Yeah...it isn't. There's only one shot of a bathroom - one that clearly has been updated since the early 80s.
