Why no 'Gold' and any of the hundreds of excellent unreleased songs? I'd rather have 'Hard To Get '81' or 'Baby You're A Trip' than another copy of Gotta Stop Messing Around.

It's almost as if they are saying Prince didn't count after he left them / changed his name.

At least things are getting out but concerned this is just a cynical cash in with nothing really new.

Lets hope they do a better job with the PR remaster.

Hi. TheFreaker: I bought "4ever" the other day and was SHOCKED 2 find that it's not remastered. The volumes are SO LOW. I think they simply transferred what album versions of these hits are out there and packaged it leading the general public 2 believe that they're getting an entirely remastered new "hits" collection. I brought it back to the store the very next day and got a refund. I was PISSED!!!! What a RIPoff! Peace, luv 'n Prince 4ever! <3

Album was released in Australia on Friday, brought my copy from JB HIfi on Saturday morning. Had trouble finding it - not on a "new release" rack or stand but managed to find a copy under his name in the shelves there - there were only two copies and I brought one. I expected to see them at least on a stand.

Yeah, "Peach" was a 2-part EP really of spill-over songs. And you spotted what I did, in that "Girls and Boys" edit was released on the Peach EP (disk 2). The times are off by 1 second, but of course it's the same edit.

I kind of thought "Glam Slam" might have been out there, too. "Batdance" had to exist somewhere in the form of an edit, because I saw the video with that edit in it (cutting out the second solo), and the edit was played on radio a lot. Not that either of those are indicative of it existing on CD, but it's probable.

Is the sound quality of G&B on 4ever as desperately poor and muddy as it was on the Peach single?

I decided to ask WBR on Twitter about who mastered the compilation, citing the uneven volume and EQ on it - I also asked about the source for Moonbeam Levels , if it was from a bootleg - should be interesting if they answer me.

Did you opt for the free 'Super Saver' shipping? They might be keeping your order on ice for a few days so that it takes longer to get to you. They've done it to me often lately because I live in the same city as the local distribution centre, and I used to get my 'Super Saver' purchases from them on release day.

Yes, I opted for the free shipping. I assumed that since I pre-ordered the 4EVER cd and a book that was being released on the same day that they would ship either that day or the next. Certainly not shipping after a week of the release date is what I expected. I've never had to wait this long for them to ship something.

You should note something. Amazon's MP3s were released November 22. The CD is listed as December 2 for a release. It's the same for Target in-store. They won't have it until next week.

I don't understand the difference, although it seems like an initial limited release (especially since stores like Best Buy only had 3 copies per store in most areas), then a wider release a week later. But there are technically two different dates as far as availability in/on any particular retailer.

That's why you don't have your CD yet through Amazon.

I did recieve notice from Amazon that I can download the tracks for free to my music stash. But, with my shady internet connection (I have Comcast and it pops off line just about every 10-15 seconds just for a split second) I am just going to wait till I have the actual physical discs to add to my music on my pc.

Might be a bit ahead of myself, but does anyone have any ideas when the PR Deluxe tracklist will be determined and announced? Given its release is due 'early' 2017, can we expcet to know this information anytime soon?
