. Wel.. Maybe, maybe, once the estate starts publishing music from the vault, instead of WB based on previous CONtracts, when these people knwo what is missing and are able to find it, maybe they can finally release this coda version.. Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

I'm pretty sure that coda was not part of the original recording, it was added later, probably by bootleggers. My main gripe with the circulating version of ML is the sibilance. Obviously the version on 4ever should be a lot cleaner Bitch this ain't the movies

And how would they have done that? Always cry 4 love, never cry 4 pain.

Just heard it. It does sound better than the bootleg. So it is probably worth getting.Great song.

Yep, it's better. The fact is, a lot of Prince's recordings around this time were pretty lo-fi. That's a lot of part of the charm of his stuff.

I agree with you. Personally I think it should be released as a single.

. Noooo... The only thing we know for sure is that Obomba probably liked Prince's music. And he had some money. Prince liked the money and did the gig. The White House does not pay people to gigs.

if prince was about money he would have been worth way way more... maybe over a billion. But he gave away vast amounts and did things that were counter to making more. His obssive blocking of his music on line was all about others not making money off his work and nothing about him losing money. "Keep on shilling for Big Pharm!"

How would I know, I wasnt there when whoever did it, did it Bitch this ain't the movies

He was not really worried about money. He was sitting on 50 million in Real Estate. If he was concerned he would have charged more for his concerts and gave less of the money away. To be honest I never saw a Brinks truck following a hearst you cannot take it with you when you leave this earth. Giving a lot of his money to charity or just giving to ordinary people he did not even know was a cool think to do.

Well, it would seem next to impossible. It's not like the ending could be extracted from the main song or anything. Always cry 4 love, never cry 4 pain.

I don't know the ins and outs of its origins, but I know that it was not part of the original recording. Hence why it's not on that high quality leak or the official 4ever version Bitch this ain't the movies

Can you elaborate on how you know this? Always cry 4 love, never cry 4 pain.

I literally heard this "coda" for the first time about an hour ago and I can say with confidence that it's clearly just Prince noodling on his piano at the end of the session, there's no reason to believe otherwise. For all we know Prince might have made 25 slightly differerent mixes of this song that he gave to various people over the years before coming to the final mix that's being released now. It doesn't suffer for not having it, I was just curious if it included it. It's not surprising actually, because whoever compiled the "A Better Place to Die" boot that included that coda, had to turn the volume Way Up in order to include that part, which is why the tape hiss gets even worse there. Keep your headphones on.

I realise most people in the US are still asleep or just waking up atm, but I'm curious to know: - if Moonbeam Levels is indeed an Album Ony track on iTunes etc.? - if 4Ever is available for streaming (and where?) - if ML is available for streaming?

A little update for those of us outside the US - the 4ever compilation is available for download on Amazon stores in Europe AND on Tidal in MP3 and FLAC (no streaming though) - Tidal probably works in more countries than the regional Amazon sites. [Edited 11/22/16 9:28am]

I got my CD and I"m playing it today while I'm working - and I wanted to know if anyone else knows the answer to this.... and if it's been discussed, I'm sorry - but I was listening to "Gett Off" and the part where he says "Move your big ass round this way so I can work on that zipper baby"... the word "ass" is bleeped out - in the "skip" type fashion where it's not silent, but it doesn't say ass. (if that makes sense. . Not that I care - but I then listened to the next song - Sexy MF - and it isn't edited at ALL - so I'm just really confused. . I didn't think there was an "explicit" version and a non-explicit version... but I went back to Amazon to look... . Does anyone else know what I'm talking about? Is it just my copy? hahha.... . I"m more curious b/c I know he didn't like swearing in his later years - so maybe he edited parts where he is swearing out in the remaster and no one noticed?

That's true the single version had the word ass reversed. Maybe that's why this version is on here because of the single versions? That wouldn't explain Sexy MF though. and B Wild

Now available on UK iTunes and surprisingly Moonbeam Levels available for single download not 'album only' as expected
