If Prince hadn't worked with Fischer, then who do you think would have been a near or equally great composer to collaborate with?

My vote would go to my favorite composer, Joe Hisaishi.

i don't know, it was providential for him to find fischer. fischer was kooky enough to match prince, let me tell you, most classically trained musicians ain't like that and they definitely would have given prince's music a film score like vibe instead of the funky, quirky arrangements claire did. as it is, not all of the fans like fischer, but i love him.
