Omnibus:Prince of Paisley Park So I was on a Thai Airways long haul flight yesterday and checking out the music documentaries on their in flight entertainment they had the long version of the Omnibus documentary from the early '90s. I hadn't seen it for a good while and forgot how great it is. Lots of fantastic footage - snippets mostly but still great to see - watched it twice

I forget if they're from this show or not, but two of my favorite shots of Prince is when he's doing the bass line to "Partyman", and when there's a quick shot of him walking down the main hall of Paisley Park, and his heels are click-clacking on the tile. The camera shot is from the balcony in the atrium/foyer, looking down. He's wearing green and black, and just prancing along like he always does. It's a very quick candid shot, and I love it. Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

I think those shots are from an earlier, shorter version which has the interviews with Clapton and Miles (the longer version I just saw didn't have those in it) - they both have the rehearsal footage of him playing The Ladder. Someone must have compiled them on a boot somewhere.
