Thanks Laura, I love this guys artwork, the shirts are great but it's sad to see the changes in P. Come now, isn't life a little better with a pair of good shoes? - Prince 1985

I just followed him on Etsy. You can get prints on Etsy for under 25 -- that's not bad at all-- I need to go back and look through his shop and see if I can find some Prince (I looked real quick- didn't see)

Thanks for posting this. I think the cartoon illustration with Prince´s new band looks great. Many criticized him for playing the same old songs and his 3rdEyeGirl band but I think his 2014 concerts in England and Holland were some of his most amazing concerts in recent years, and he was still evolving as a live and studio artist. I would have loved to hear some new music and see some new live shows with that new band. Interesting combo, too. Kirk Johnson...Mono Neon...Donna. But who´s the other guy? The only consolation for me is knowing that Prince died at the top of his game, and the speculations of him being deadly sick for two years makes it even more impressive. I think he had the most loyal but also some of the most ungrateful fans. Where other artists of his age just rested on their laurels and did the same ol same ol he still formed new bands, experimented a lot, wanted to revive the Minneapolis Sound with a big orchestra etc. etc. Sure, some of his ideas were hit and miss, trial and error but so what ? That just shows you that he was a truly daring, creative artist who took risks and who could still surprise you with something great when you least expected it (for example his Piano and a Microphone tour).

Does anyone here know about the legal aspects of those dozens and dozens of other shirts that we see advertized these days? Are the makers of them doing something illegal and will Londell be after them, or is legal to make and sell Prince related t-shirts these days? And how do people on the org feel about them? I think some look cheap and tacky and it´s obvious that some folks are just trying to exploit his death but I must admit I really like the one with Charlie Brown that says " I still miss Prince!" . - I know I could wear that for the rest of my remaining life and still agree with the slogan. Plus it has that Minnesota connection because of the Peanuts. I guess the makers of that t-shirt broke two copyrights with one single product.

What changes are people talking about exactly? The skinnier face? The eyes? I mean, maybe it´s obvious to you but to me it is not so obvious because his weight always fluctuated a bit from time to time. Back in 93-95 he was extremely skinny, also in ´89 and 90. And during the Mani years he looked like he´d put on a bit more weight. But all I see here is that he looked a bit skinny again, not necessarily sick. You can see it in his face.

2014? He played a lot of fine gigs in the first half of the year. It did end somewhat abruptly around the album release though.

The other guy was Adrian Crutchfield. Mono Neon spoke about the new album they'd recorded in below interview. Hopefully it'll get a release . http://bassmusicianmagazi...-mononeon/

Agree with everything you said - but we don't know that Prince had been "sick" for two years. The extreme speed at which that rumor has taken off is scary.

Yeah. Swallowed hook, line and sinker.
As if Prince's myth needs any more building.

He played a lot of good gigs but he did not look good. I just watched one from Paris in 2014. Great show but his face is really gaunt not like back in the 90s when just looked like he was not eating enough this is different. I don't think he looked that good on SNL just not as bad as the Paris show.

This is all coming from Tyka's comments so it is not based off of a rumor.

We didn't know him personally. We have based our comments on photos, videos, and TV appearances, plus the occasional concert appearance. How in the world could those people around him not have noticed the change in his appearance? I am sure his sister did. [Edited 10/10/16 8:47am]

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Exactly. He was pretty skinny in 2009 too. Then between 2010-2013 he looked beteter to me. Even in 2014 I don't think he really looked unhealthy just less makeup plus the big afro made him look skinner than if he had the cropped hairstyle of 2011. Paisley Park is in your heart

There is no 20 year diffrence between SNL and the Paris show. There is no 20 year difference between his face looking bloated in the fall of 2015 and pics from the Australia show in January 2016.

I did not notice any real dramatic change in his appearance so I can buy maybe those around did not see changes. Looking back their was changes but not so much that it was shocking or something.
