Also in between Love Like Jazz and 77 Beverly Park there was a really bad one under the reverb guitar. All copies had that in those places but some slightly stronger.

Let me know if you can also hear the noise in these places. I'd sounds like a bit of scratchy distortion, similar in a way when a FM radio gets a bit of interference or is not properly locked on a station. They are fairly brief, maybe a second or so long.

The one at beginning of 4ever was the most obvious to me and it was there on all 3 copies.

Only the first Lotusflower record was affected in that way, disc 2 MPLSound didnt have those noises.

Hope you reported it to amazon. I've sent 2 records back and holding on to the third until amazon tells me they got a new batch.

Received mine about 2 weeks ago from amazon, opened it, but didn't put it on. I just randomly saw this thread - thank goodness I did! Not my favorite Prince album, so it might have been awhile before I got around to putting it on. Well, I checked it out, and what do you know, B = D. I just set up the amazon return, and from what I'm seeing around here, it sounds like the problem is extremely widespread. I'm just asking for a refund. I don't feel like going round and round with amazon on defective copy after defective copy. Especially not for louts/mlp. Thanks for the heads up!

I think it is the same release as last year in France and it was fine. Might be worth a look for those of you who have had prblems with the latest re-issue.

A lot of the new vinyl is badly made.

I had two Rhino reissues of Dirty Mind, both warped, one so badly the neddle jumped.

I got The US and European originals, they are still completely flat.

Yet another reason that old the old way of doing things was superior to now...

180gm vinyl is way better than the old US stuff.
