Personal PRINCELY Stories I found this little gem of a website a few months back....
Maybe some of you would like to contribute ?
Its fun to read peoples personal interaction with him and lets us know a little more about the MAN..
Heres one from a long list:
Saturday at Paisley Park before he passed away… he was bobbing his head to the song Black Sweat which was recorded live the night before in Atlanta, GA. He was sitting next to his sister Tyka; they weren’t talking but simply enjoying the music. All of a sudden…

Too bad the kid didn't get that it was a joke. Often times, I think Prince's sense of humor goes over people's head because he had such a serious reputation. Prince should have probably walked over the kid after he walked away, but maybe that would have blown a low profile he was trying to keep or something.

Plenty of tales, but one is more obvious to mention as it took place 14 years ago this very day, Oct 3rd 2002. Roll on the day of the show, we had the day off and headed to London and got to the venue early. There was already a big queue of fans. I went to the box office and gave my name and the lady behind the counter give me a big smile and wink and handed me an envelope (my girlfriend didn't know what was going on). Inside then envolope was a smiley face and two tickets, Row A, seats 6 and 7, right in front of the microphone. It was on and I started to get nervous. We were told to wait with security and the outer doors were opened. The fans quickly filled up the foyer and were scaping to be the near inner doors to the main hall. I couldn’t work out why (as I had seat numbers), then I spoke to a fan a recognized from old and he told me its non-allocated seating for the sound check and many had been queuing for hours. Confusion reigned and the management came on the tannoy to tell people they must use the allocated seating they had for the main show. A big miss for the fans and especially for me! To rub it in, Prince didn't all three songs I mentioned in the main show!

I have a few in my short time being around him. During the piano & microphone tour I got really dizzy and light headed in the beginning of the second set @ PP (guy next to me wouldn't stop chain-lighting his incense so super-migraine) and I had asked the security guard to help me out of the crowd and dark room. Prince took a break continuously after a few songs or so and was talking to the security that helped me out. As I was ready to go back inside after some water they escourted me to a riser directly in Prince's view which was incredible. The security then escourted me through the secret hallway to exit when he walked past me and said "glad you're feeling better" and then vanished. 😏 I moved to MPLS the first week of November of 2015. After 4 short days of living here Prince announced a pajama party which included the release of the crazy2cool show excerpt. That Friday night there was maybe about 30-40 people there and was the last weekend I was able to hear him play the guitar. They decided not to go back on BC someone apparently stole some guitar picks but Prince came riding by on his bicycle saying hello and inviting us back the next night. There were a few more people the next night but he took us to see the new James Bond movie that night. It made my move completely worth it. I miss him a lot mostly throwing shade on Twitter in the middle of the night 💜 | |
