Dr Funkeberry Pod Cast with Scotty the engineer http://www.stitcher.com/podcast/the-dr-funk-podcast/e/episode-22-46494131
Good interview with Scotty which gives a good overview of Prince's work process. Also he makes it known that he was very generous about paying people to do those after shows which were quite an undertaking.

really nice interview. Scotty is particularly articulate and insighful. Gave good examples of how meeting Prince's high standards was hard -- how P fired an engineer after asking him, "my songs are my kids. Why do you think you should be able to run a day-care center for my kids?" -- but very helpful for future work. And I liked Scotty's description of how he would always try to end the conversation with Prince first, to avoid the dreaded "Thanks" and back-turning that meant P was done with it. Plus Scotty did a great impression of P's speaking voice!

This is excellent, well worth a listen. Some great little stories, and he does a great P impression. Admittedly once you get past Funkenberry's rant at the beginning.

Yeah I had to skip past that Forever In My Life, forever in my heart. I love you Prince Rogers Nelson

Yes can't listen to his whiny rants at the beginning. To be honest I do agree with some of what he says like P would not have liked the likes of Sheila and Susannah selling P related items. It does seem opportunistic to me but that's all for another thread. . All the 'spilling tea' and 'throwing shade' got a bit tedious it has to be said though. . Looking forward to hearing more from Scottie anyway.. I liked the way he could have a bit of banter with P even though he could be a task master, and the way P pulled him outside a club to sincerely thank him for his work and words on the ONA box set

F'real. If you edited all those out, it would half the running time.... . .

"Thanks for coming." "I would say that Prince's top thirty percent is great. Of that thirty percent, I'll bet the public has heard twenty percent of it." - Susan Rogers, "Hunting for Prince's Vault", BBC, 2015
