Anybody know the name of that Movie? And knowing Prince what I know didn't allow hardly any of his music to be use in movies. I wonder how they got him to allow the use of that song? And of course the scene was in a partial strip club.

Prince's music has been in movies. It was commercials that he steered away from.

Just lok on his imdb page it shows 189 film credits were his music was used.

WOW! I had no idea Prince songs had been used in that many movies. Makes me want to watch them all!

"Get Off" is a song on the New Power Generation maxi single. I don't believe that it's in the movie Last Boy Scout. But afaik "Gett Off" is played during one scene.

I agree Ludwig...... but the OP may not know the difference,

"Get Off" from the maxi single New Power Generation, is definately not in any movie!

Must be "Gett Off" which is a completely different song (the hit song).

Kind of irritating.......... when P-fans are confusing these 2 different songs, right?

You do not need an author's permission to use a song in a movie, only to licence it with the owner of the recording, WB in that case (and given that's always an extra source of income for both label and artist, there is rarely any opposition). There are plenty of movies with Prince songs in them.

Gett off being in it was the best thing about that movie. Warners movie, thats how it got to be in it
