Just recieved these! Purple Rain says its been remastered and restored. Looks like it has all the extras from the 20th Anniversary. Nothing new there. UTCM and GB are just the film and trailer. Those 2 do not include the music videos...

I am thinking about picking this up. I don't have any of his films other than SOTT and this is such a great way to get them all at a solid price.

I just checked walmart websites - both U.S. and Canadian and nothing. Amazon only and eBay - I think (have seen them there.

I got my Blu Ray of Purple Rain a Best Buy a few weeks ago! They had Under the Cherry Moon but I can't remember if that was Blu Ray or not. My old copy of Puprple Rain is on VHS. I've been watching it on DVR for a while now!

Did your Purple Rain Blu-ray come in a purple Amaray case?

I ask because it's unlikely the newly scanned Blu-ray would have been on sale anywhere "a few weeks ago" and you most likley got the older Blu-ray edition that was still in stock.

I got all 3 individual blu-rays in purple cases. I don't regret buying them but I am a little disappointed. The "menu" for all 3 is pretty lame, just a still picture of the movie poster, no background music, no animated movie scene, just a still picture.

I was also pretty disappointed in the visual quality of the "When Doves Cry" video on the Purple Rain Blu-Ray.... (as well as the other videos). I guess the movie has been remastered (that looks fine) but the videos look not much better than dvd or even VHS in some parts.

I definitely think this was all rushed to make money and not much thought was put into them. The only "special features" on UTCM and Grafitti Bridge is the movie trailer! That's pretty sad. And no music videos from UTCM and GB (although I knew that would probably be the case).

I'm sure in several years they will probably release better versions and we'll have to buy them again! Hate how companies jerk customers around like that nowadays.

Those music videos are in SD, not HD like the film itself. Some of them were natively shot in SD video as well, meaning that they'll never look any better than they currently do.

I asked this question at the Blu-ray.com forum, but I guess I'll ask it here:

For those who watched the remastered Purple Rain, are you happy with the new color grading? I watched some of it last night and I'm mostly OK with it, but I thought the scene with Wendy & Lisa confronting Prince about performing their song and Prince answering back through the clown puppet didn't look the same as I remember it. I'll watch the first Blu-ray to compare, but I'd love to read your comments.

I got my first Prince blu-ray yesterday. Woohoo!

If anyone is coming to mpls next week that has their blu-rays it would be Amazing if can bring to the movie nights (if attending) - as for buying from the Phoenix store - they wont arrive in time but thanks for the tip.

Still think they droppedt he ball by not adding anything new. More accurately feels like a cash grab rather than taking a bit more time and doing it correctly - making them special

No, it was a blue case. Either way, I was happy to have ito n blue ray.
