How many org members are there? and would you help with PP taxes?. How many STRONG purple army memebrs are there. I always thought there were about 100k of us who are harcore, dedicted and down till the end. I'm only wonderign beacuse lets just assume that each of us put in $5 a year we could have about 500k to that can go towards PP taxes....if it was thought that the palce may go under, etc.
Just thinking out loud.

I think PP is able to pay the taxes without fans volunteering. But if it came down to fans volunteering how long would people actually stick to it? Have you ever tried getting just 12 people to agree on something and follow through? It's a sweet idea but not realistic.

Why would we pay his taxes? I got enough issue supporting my own ass. This was brought up before, and it's just a ridiculous idea. An Orger actually sent $25 to the state toward PP's tax bill. Insane. The problem is that Prince was notorious for not paying his bills on time, or at all. Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

Capital idea! {no pun intended} I hereby voluteer to be our treasurer! Everybody should just funnel deposit your $5 into our joint Swiss bank account, using these details...

The estate has access to every news outlet in the world by just picking up the phone or sending an email. If money was an issue, you can bet we'd know about it. Prince's life-work is left in their hands. There should be no problem at all packaging together new albums, studio and live, or concert streams/Blu-ray/TV specials to generate revenue and continue growing interest. The possibilities for generating income are limitless. Find a charity to give your money to if you have extra laying around - even one of the nonprofits that Prince himself supported. The estate doesn't need donations. It's sitting on a treasure trove of revenue generating material that just needs to be sorted through. Buy it when it surfaces. Not this again As others have said, donate that money to something for those that really need it, a food pantry is a great idea. Welcome to "the org", Mumio…they can have you, but I'll have your love in the end

OK OK i get it, just a question. I much rather raise money and see PP as a music school for kids....and i do like the idea of a food bank. I guess my origianl quedtion should have been how true solid fans are there left "May U live 2 C the Dawn"

Can I ask you a question please? What are the criteria for distinguishing "true solid fans" from, say, false gaseous fans? “Sometimes People Don't Want To Hear The Truth Because They Don't Want Their Illusions Destroyed” — Friedrich Nietzsche

I've always said that he has around 100,000 ride or die fans. Those who will buy anything that is released. Always. Thats a million dollars just from the sale of music every year. Enough to pay taxes. They need to get creative if they want to generate real money. And there are too many middle men involved now. Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

Thank you Prince for every note you left behind 💜

I'd gladly give much more than $5 to the estate if need be.
Also, why would I give $5 to a homeless person when I can give it Prince's estate - something worthwhile and material.

Stop with the lie (with this number of attorneys, staff, administrators, executors, and now at least 1 established corporate entitity at the helm (GH),) that there are any concerns about an absurd estate tax bill to fret over.
Do not worry about having to do their job for them, that has been fully-funded. There are many options on paying such a "tax bill", but that is not at all what any of this is about.
The Londell related stuff, on the other hand, I'd put no faith in the competence of that, regretably.

How many org members are there? I have no idea! Would I help with PP taxes? Hell no! Because I've already done so, when Prince was alive and living there. That is no longer the situation-- so as far as I am concerned-- my loyalty and obligation is done. However, I think I could see myself parting with my hard earned cash at this point and time for nothing less than very good quality LIVE video footage of Prince concerts throughout the years. I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

He was late paying his property taxes a few years ago but did pay them. If he did not pay them at all he would have lost his properties instead of sitting on 50 million dollars worth of Real Estate.
In addtion, I never saw anything in the news that said he owed back income taxes. The problems in the 90s seemed isolated to that time and we never heard of anything like that since then. You can also go into the Carver County website and see lawsuits against him going back to that time and all were resolved.
If you read the court documents Breamer is stating that Prince had a vast entertaiment empire so I doubt he was that bad of a businessmen. All of the financial aspects of his estate have been sealed by the court so we will never know what investments he had outside of his real estate empire but I am sure they are substantial.
Taxes can also be paid installments and as long as the goverment knows revenue is forthcoming they are not going to swoop him and seize anything they know they will get the money.

No. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Why the hell would I pay any estate taxes? Prince esta muerto. It would have taken about 45 seconds and a little 3M sticky that's made literally 15 miles east of Chanhassen, for him to ensure every dime went to a good cause. Granted, I'm a bleeding heart liberal and feel for the most part taxes are a good cause.... but the charity of his choice would have been a much better choice. If he didn't care about what happened to his money, why should I? Because Tyka? Don't make me spit my coffee all over keyboard.

Good lord, no.
That will get paid and plenty of people around Paisley Park and his family will make a lot of money for years and years to come off of the legacy of Prince and his music. (Insert something clever here)
