Fans of Prince guitar solos please vote!

Hi guys,
Since Prince's passing I really wanted to do my tribute to him and share something with the Prince community.
I took up guitar due to listening to him play those incredible guitar solos.
So I would like to learn and video myself playing some of his most incredible performances that aren't the obvious .
I'm talking
Just my imagination small club, joy in repetition , it ain't over etc.
So fellow prince fans
Here is a list of ten

Please tell me which song you would to hear specifically solos. I would love to discover some I've never heard ! Please send a link !
The idea would be to play over the recording and hopefully do it justice. I'll do my best!
So...
1 just my imagination
2 joy it ain't over
3. Bambi
4. anna stesia
5. Still would stand , small club
6. Purple rain , Syracuse
7. While my guitar , Rnr hall of fame
8. I could never take the place,live
9. Electric chair
10. Scandalous sex suite .

I am here , where are you!!

I think I'd have to say Purple Rain, Syracuse...it was the guitar solo I used to watch over and over as Prince just took it to what seemed never ending highs. While My Guitar Gently Weeps rubs it a close second though, the swagger, the fact that he just made that beautiful song his own, almost as if to say, this is what I can do.

I over The Cross from Dortmund too, the spiritual, preacher nature of it and the way those two girls (one with an acoustic guitar) have a look of amazement and tears on their faces.

Hey cra1g0s

Yes the cross 88 is of the hook!!
Something deep was going on in that tour!
Those two people in the crowd. Wow.
As far as Syracuse...
That is the apex of the entire year prince had.
The sound of the guitar , the passion and pathos is almost biblical .
God I miss him....
Thank you for your reply .

PR Syracuse is as moved as I've ever been as a music fan. There are no words.
PR in Milan is pretty darn epic too. Can't remember the year exactly. The early 2000's.
His cover of Crimson and clover is another favorite as is the guitar work in ANOTHERLOVE.
And more but too lazy to list them all. Lol
It's a hurtful place, the world, in and of itself. We don't need to add to it. We all need one another. ~ PRN

The live performance of "If I Had A Harem" (Blues in C) from the Nude tour in '90 has always caught my ear as a guitarist

The Jazz runs are something else

If you find the 5 minute clip on YouTube check out the run at 3.30

This like would have done Django proud!

There are some amazing Prince guitar solos. I tried to learn guitar because I wanted to play Purple Rain but my fingers are just to damn short. Anyhow, the Syracuse preformance is amazing but I have to disagree that it is his best. My top five:

1) Purple Rain - St Paul, MN 12/26/84

2) Purple Rain - Dallas, TX 12/31/84

3) Just My Imagination - Small Club 88

4) The Cross - Dortmund 88

5) Shhh - Coachella 2008

I have no idea how complex it would be to play and I know the OP has not got it listed but I would start off with the guitar solo in I'm Yours, it is amazing.

If you want to practice your phrasing at a steady pace then jam along to I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man.

And although I admire your intent it really does take a long time to even learn basic techniques needed for soloing. But give it a shot by all means. You'll have days when you like your plating and days you'll despise yourself for not practicing more.

So far my guitar gently weeps is my favorite. He was so thrillingly aggressive and I loved it! He was like "My name is Prince and I am funky" lol
