Have you gone to any concerts since Prince's death?

I was hoping to catch Prince this year-- I will forever regret not making the trip to Atlanta since I live in Charlotte not knowing it will be his last concert; I thought he would be performing in Charlotte eventually. I usually go to concerts regularly-- saw Stevie Wonder and Billy Joel this past year-- they were among the artists in my bucket list. Was hoping to see The Cure this summer but still grieving the loss of Prince and could not make it; I just bought tix to see Elton John next month-- will be seeing him perform for the first time-- and will be my first concert since Prince's passing. How about you?

I saw George Clinton in Rotterdam about two months ago. I used to go and see him almost as often as Prince and although he's old (75) now, he and his large band still gave up the funk like they used to! headbang

Peter Frampton, The Monkees, Michael Feinstein, The Golden Boys (Frankie Avalon/Fabian/Bobby Rydell), Cheap Trick and Stevie Nicks/The Pretenders coming up in November. Stevie has already said she is dedicating "Stand Back" to Prince in her shows. The tears will flow ... I know it.

That's funny. George was our first concert after Prince passed, too. It must have been the same tour.

The European tour this summer? Which town did you go to? I remember he went to Sheffield after Rotterdam. It was pretty tight tour schedule with a three hour concert almost every day in a different city. My hat's off to the man for still being able to pull that off after all those years! thumbs up!

I went to see Kensington @ The Ziggodome Amsterdam.

It was a little bit strange because P performed on that exact same stage the last time he was in the Netherlands neutral

.

Probably nobody here knows who Kensington is lol Kensington is famous Dutch band, they are great live!

No and aside from maybe Springsteen, I doubt I'll go to another one any time soon. Once you've been to see Prince and The Boss, everything else just pales in comparison.

I have seen Springsteen but not in Concert lol

He comes to visit my hometown every month, because his daughter Jessica lives here (she is a equistrian rider and so am I )

I met him in a local restaurant, he's a friendly and down to earth person biggrin : love the man and also his work!

Andy Allo (met her afterwards and she was lovely); Jeff Beck; and Guns n Roses - all in LA. Haven't seen anyone since returning to UK & got nothing planned.

I went to the Prince Tribute in London last June (Autism Rocks), and saw Larry Graham, Cee-Lo Green, and The Time. Mark Ronson spinned some Prince records at the end. I cried a lot, especially when LG played PR and Nothing Compares 2 U. I danced during the Mark Ronson set. But in my heart it just wasn't the same. I had spent so many nights at the IndigO2 in the past and never really went to another concert after that (except Maceo Parker's in October 2007).

So there I was at a London venue and despite the entertainment, Prince's absence was sticking out like a sore thumb. I just wanted him to turn up so badly, it felt awful, a real nightmare come true.

I go to see live music at least once a week. It was rough at first but I have always loved to go to concerts. I started off small going to see lots of local bands and then I worked my way up. Bryan Ferry and English Beat were a couple of favorites. I have got Coco Montoya, The Time and Sheila E, and Bilal so far to look forword too. I love live music too much not to go to any more concerts. music

I have always loved concerts because I knew there would be Prince again - but since he left us, I havent been to any but I did go to the Ballet and saw Snow White because I wanted to see the Jean Paul Gautier costumes. Enjoyed that - but concerts, not sure when that may happen again now.

Thank you Prince for every note you left behind 💜

We saw them headline the Moseley Jazz, Funk & Soul Festival here in Moseley, Birmingham on July 10th.

Made a video diary of it too smile

Yeah, I heard he's really down to earth. If ever the chance arises, you should see him live. Assuming you've got the stamina for it. When he played in Dublin a few years ago, he played for about 4 hours. I was 22 at the time and I was wrecked. He was mid 60's and it was like nothing to him. He keeps fit, I'll give him that!

This is great militant, thank you for posting. You just reminded me that I saw George Clinton in November 2007 at the IndigO2 (where else lol), he was great.

On a side note, the chap who introduced me to Prince's music in the 80's was from Moseley. Small world. wink

I saw Sheila in July. I found out about the show the night before and went the next day. She did her very first live performance of Girl Meets Boy. Emotional would be an understatement.

From now on, 4 U I shall be wild 💜

I forgot to include the Hollywood Vampires in my list. Strangely, they did a tribute to Bowie but nothing for Prince. Frampton did the same, but he grew up with David.

Yes I have attended at least one music event each month. I like many artists, so the passing of one artist will not deter me from seeing others that I enjoy listening to and seeing live.
