An idea for the estate: Bob Dylan issue 30+ cd´s of live recordings Awesome release for Bob Dylan fans, and this is only 1966. How much wouldn't one give for such an archive of Prince´s performances:

Dylan (or at least those around him) has been great when it comes to releasing from his archives. They've done a bootleg series and many live shows, but this is epic. I wish I enjoyed Dylan more, because this is an amazing collection.
Dylan fans have always enjoyed an amazing selection of unauthorized boots which rivals Prince's catalog of unreleased outtakes/performances.
My dream is having the estate come out with one 3-4 disc set a year of outtakes, etc. They could have a contest to see who creates the best art for it, use that art for free, print up the CDs and release it once they have 25,000 orders or something like that.
Easy to do. Now if only there was someone who has been logging the studio sessions for something like this... lol [Edited 9/27/16 9:25am] The expanded version of my book PRINCE and The Purple Rain Era Studio Sessions 1983-1984 was released in November 2018. The 1966 tour was legendary because it of the fans' reaction to Dylan "going electric". The first half of the show was acoustic, the second was with The Band and all the fans who were unhappy with that development were booing. It became a whole thing, it took a life of its own. The most infamous moment was in Manchester when someone shouted: "Judas!" and Dylan replied,"I don't believe you. You're a liar! (to the band): Play fucking loud!" and then they started Like a Rolling Stone. So this tour has itsplace in rock & roll history and the box set comes after the Cutting Edge box set of his studio recordings in the same period. [Edited 9/27/16 11:10am]

Sounds ideal for the serious collector.

morningsong said: Sounds ideal for the serious collector. The average person wouldn't want 36 CDs from any artist. And at only $150, it's a steal. (The 18 CD version of The Cutting Edge cost something like $ 600.)
