I won't stop going to concerts but I I know how much I will pay and for whom. I will definitely be able to tell if the show was good or not. In May I went to see Mint Condition-them boys are bad!!!!!!!!!! Music is tight and Stokely is the bomb on vocals. In July I went to see Jill Scott-she never disappoints.
So while I no longer look for Prince concerts there are many artist I will go see-namely Maxwell in December.
I will cherish my Prince concert memories!!!!!!! Beautiful, Loved and Blessed
Thank You Prince | |

I saw Peter Gabriel and Sting at MSG, Twenty One Pilots at MSG and Angie Stone at BB King's. I thought about Prince at each concert. I was hoping for both a Bowie and Prince tribute from Peter Gabriel and Sting but I figured they must have already done tributes closer to their passings. Angie Stone did a nice tribute to Prince. She sang "When Doves Cry".

Lola Marsh, yesterday in Cologne.
Discovered this band here: https://vimeo.com/169790148
Jill Jones made a wonderful Prince tribute on the occasion of his birthday. "Days to come" by Lola Marsh formed the background to this video. Wonderful, intense music! Great singer, great band! I`m thankful that I discovered it...

Yup, Paul McCartney in Prague. I thought he would do a tribute to Prince there as he did elsewhere (don't remember the city) when he heard the news about his death. He didn't, but it still was a great concert. full lips, freckles, and upturned nose

On April 26th, 2016, I went to a Pearl Jam concert.I bought the ticket months in advance and was anticipating seeing such an accomplished professional band. I thought about not going because I felt so numb. While there, I had moments of deep sadness because I knew I would never have this experience with Prince.I miss Prince everyday. This year I saw Prince at the Sydney Opera House in February. It feels so recent, yet worlds away. I've been back to the same hall in the same venue twice this year since, to see Wayne Shorter and Ben Folds. I have seen many shows there over the years but it feels very strange being back there now, to know that life goes on without Prince.

Saw Guns & Roses at Dodger Stadium. Duff had a Prince Symbol on his guitar which I thought was super cool. Did a little research and it turns out he was a big Prince fan.

George Clinton came to town and I will never miss a pfunk show. The support in Paris was a band called echoes of Minneapolis. You can guess what my eyes were like when they went through lets work. I didn't want to make a fool of myself by crying. I think I will try to catch liane la havas in the new year. I just couldn't get myself up for any other shows. I just can't help wishing it was P up there on stage and it was all a bad joke. Having said that I love live music but am going to have to get back on the bike.

No, but I've played a few times at various shows and venues since then. I never fail to play some Prince, and probably always will play him in every set for the rest of my life.
