People who find the no will tragic are all about themselves. What he had was his to do with as he wanted. You can be opposed to drugs and still use drugs. We do not know if he was found in backwards clothes with bootleg pills - heresay His life ended in a "most undignified way" - that is your judgement. Is it so hard to imagine he only cared about "the vault" when he was alive? "Couldn't be bothered" sounds like an insult to me. How do you know all of this and who are you to judge? So many self rightous people here sound like "suits" to me. Artists really are different - what they care about. Grief makes you angry but it doesn't make you "right". Brand new boogie without the hero.

Prince hardly ever spoke about his personal matters and he was always humble when people gave him compliments. He might have been self-centered due to having built a career out of being a one-man-band and running several business ventures, but there's no reason to describe him with a word that psychologist consider a serious mental illness. Just for the record, narcissism is not a mental illness. Its a personality disorder. Will be listening to the Purple One till the day I die. Will dance till I no longer can..

I think Prince was basically a somewhat shy guy who felt best on stage and in the studio making music. He could come across as arrogant at times, but I think that was mostly out of insecurity. I think that once Prince started to trust/like you as a person, he would be an awesome, entertaining and funny friend.
RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...

Do I love the music and performances: more than words can express. Did I 'know' the man'...who really did?
All of these ironies are why all of this is suspicious.

. Suspicious? . Seriously? . What do all of these "ironies" make you suspect? . They aren't ironies at all, they were just verbally framed as ironies. . And many of them are outright speculation, lies and gossip. . With a bit of mind reading thrown in for good measure. .

. See Post #65 . They are itemized . I was going to delete my response because I was so angry when I wrote it, that my tone is, well you know, angry. . But I decided not to because I really want people to read the article about Oxycontin. . It is wrong of people to be so judgmental of Prince over his addiction to pain killers. . It wasn't his fault! . Please read the article. . http://www.latimes.com/pr...tin-part1/ . i'm not being sarcastic, but to say it's not his fault is to obviously not be the least bit familiar with addiction. first rule of addiction groups i think. accept personal responsibility.

I mentioned in the past that I though he showed signs of being a savant because of his musical genius) and showed signs of being on the autistic spectrum, most likely Aspberger's due to his social awkwardness and some other traits we recognize as fans.

. My name is QueenofCardboard and I am a milkaholic. . What is someone supposed to do when they are in chronic pain and there are no effective non addictive pain medications available? . It is true. All of the strong pain medications that exist are addictive. All of them. . Did you read the article? . The people who took this painkiller were deliberately deceived. They were told that it was time released when in reality it was just a much higher dose, that wore off just as fast as the lower safer doses. The directions people were given about how often to take it, directly contributed to it's addictiveness. The death toll in America is close to 200 thousand. It is all explained in the article. . If Prince means as much to you as you claim, then you owe it to him to stop trashing him and try to understand his predicament. . Read the article. . http://www.latimes.com/pr...tin-part1/ .

You've been in several peaceful threads
In nearly 40 years of being a P fan, I've never heard him say any of that, it was simply the way HE is reported to live and even when interviewers would ask him he was vague so if you have no sources to show proof, it didn't happen. [Edited 9/30/16 0:59am]

LOL, no. I happen to believe it's the human contition. I don't think he was any different.
I think we know what we do, but not why, and we know where we find ourselves, but not how, and in the center of it all, we never know who we are, and we struggle to connect with our own mystery. [Edited 9/30/16 7:42am] We are all so full of here

Maybe this thread should be titled What do you think Prince was actually like without being mean. Some posters sound like bad media writers, sensationalistic. He preached love & compassion & gave his all. How many "stars" invite multitudes of folks to their home for music and pancakes? Uh, one and he has left us. Brand new boogie without the hero.
