Anybody ever thought of a similarity between the more rocky part of Da Bang and JA's Stop?

Does anyone know if Prince ever mentioned them in the other artists he liked?

That was put out in 1990. when was Da Bang recorded. They do sound similar.

Thanks! Prince Vault says recording date is assumed to be 1994-95. Do you have more accurate information for that track?

The same spirit resides in both songs, for sure. It'd have been pretty nice in concert to mash the two together.

I don't have any more info outside of Prince claiming to put the song on repeat in his car after he recorded it.
