There's also a YT video that shows Prince clearly in pain. Search for Prince waiting for elevator, it's the first one you'll see in the the list. He didn't know at first that a camera was on him, but became uncomfortable once he spotted it. The video makes me sad , it's a part of him that we've never seen before. Just shows how well he could hide what was going on with him.

Injuries to rock stars is nothing new, and Prince is no exception. He was perfectly okay by the end of 1999, as evidenced in the Rave Un2 The Year 2000 video.

The conjecture about Prince being "clearly in pain" is just that - conjecture. Fans sure can project your own romanticized version of hip pain or whatever into anything you see with Prince, and 99% of the time it's totally untrue.

It's not conjecture, it's quite clear and several here have also noted it. Just because you can't see it doesn't mean it isn't true.
