OMG the memoriam was so tearful but beautiful. Broke my heart. I thought it wonderful that it ended with Prince. He wasn't wedged between other people. He was so beautiful and humble in that bow to the crowd in the rain. Wonder if I'll ever stop crying over this man.

Thanks for posting! What a heartfelt performance and tribute from Tori Kelly and the Emmys and watching all the stars we lost this past year was moving.

Tori Kelly singing "Hallelujah" started some tears for me. & to end with Prince at the end of the Super Bowl performance in the rain blowing kisses and a bow......tears. cry sad

Yes, it was great for The Emmy Awards to express their respect for Prince in this way.

On the other hand, it was very disrespectful of the MTV Video Music Awards to completely ignore Prince the way that they did.

It's great that she will be performing at the official memorial tribute too. Regardless, of what some orgers around here say about her....

The day his passing was announced all three broadcast networks in the USA cut into daytime programming with breaking news to announce that he passed away. The last time that happened for a celebrity was Robin Williams but even then I think only NBC broke into programming with a special report. There are celebrities and then there's Prince. I think right now the only celebrity that could get as much attention for their passing would be Paul or Ringo or maybe Madonna.

This was very nice and beautiful of the Emmy's to do! I liked that they saved the best for last R.I.P. Prince sad I notice they also acknowledge David Bowie and Natalie Cole.

I watched the whole thing on Hulu since I missed the awards show as it coincided with the Vikings-Packers game last night. Interestingly, both events paid tribute to Prince! I want to thank the Emmys and Tori Kelly for a moving tribute to Prince and the other celebrities we lost this year.
