LuxLove said: You said a live track that has been around for years had only been around since May which made people think you were talking about a different (as it turns out nonexistent) leak entirely. Look its grand, we got it sorted and no one got hurt, lets move on.

I didn't say it was a live track.

Moving on!!

Ta ta!

You didn't say live yourself but that's the version which is being talked about and has been around since long before May. I don't think anyone intended any offence, it's just that another version would be something to be excited about and finding out there was potentially one in May, only to discover that it's something which has been out and about for years is something of an anti-climax.

RIP sad

I remember reading several people dissing Q-love because he was teasing with these types of things, and here we are on the org dealing with the same. If people don't want to help others find these "leaks" then why rub everyone's noses in it? That's just rude. nod

It really isn't that difficult. Step one: Don't insult the people you hope will share.

Good grief Genesia. Speaking the truth of the matter is insulting people? Since when?

The one I am talking about can be found on a popular video site that P hated. Now if someone could kindly org note me the mysterious location of these leaks I'd be ever so greatful. Whole thing is a mystery to me since that other site went away lol

I second your feelings.

If starting a thread so people know they're out there constitutes "rubbing peoples' noses in it," maybe you'd prefer that those who have access would just keep that news to themselves.

I went to the guitars 101 Prince bootleg site but found nothing. Apparently there's a new site and you need an invite.

A reminder:

NO SOLICITING FOR BOOTLEGS! Discussion is fine, so long as the bootleg is not being promoted e.g. pre-release; requests/offers to share or copy, and links to download or bootleg sites are not.

so there it is, the unrequited love of Jill Jones vocally on Glamorous Life

As I was saying on another thread before I found this one:

Loving Come Elektra Tuesday.
Digging The Glamorous Life.

Thinking Roadhouse Gardens is waaay over-rated.

Kind of indifferent to Rough.

Laughing my ass off at Eggplant. "Yeah I bet she's got a real fluffy poodle" falloff Hilarious!!

Haven't found Finest Whiskey yet...

Thanks to whomever is leaking, keep it up please!!

The Roadhouse Garden demo is very cool. The version Quest spun at First Ave was different, and also better imo. It was a fully Revolution-ized version with Wendy and Lisa backing vocals.

That's very interesting! Would you say it resembled the live version more?

This is probably my favourite leak of the bunch. It's about what I ecpected the RG project to be, but even better! And I love the lack os bassline. So Prince, of course!

It resembles the live version in that it has band background vocals, but it doesn't have that funky bass line.

Also the synth flourishes are replaced by actual strings, and ditto with the gong sounds.

Of course, the version Quest spun was stereo, too, which obviously makes it sound much more vibrant.

What I'm curious about is the Jill Jones version of Our Destiny that segued into the Prince and the Revolution version of Roadhouse Garden. Did Jill ever talk about recording that song, and what it might have been for? I guess Quest could have mixed them together himself.

eek Most Strongest Whiskey A.K.A. Finest Whiskey eek is an unreleased cover version of Give Me Yo' Most Strongest Whiskey by Denise LaSalle, written by George Jackson and Denise LaSalle (released as a single in 1985, and included on her 1985 album Love Talkin').

Prince's version was recorded on 30 December 1985 (the same day Eric Leeds added overdubs to A Couple Of Miles and that U Gotta Shake Something and Voodoo Who were recorded) at Sunset Sound, Hollywood, CA, USA. It is unknown if this track was intended for The Flesh album or any other project.
