Nothing serious in this post, just an observation that cracks me up. Watching his music videos over the years, seems like Prince, or somebody else, was always being chased or hiding around a corner.

Purple Rain - Opens with Apollonia dodging the cab driver and hiding around a corner.

SOTT - opens with Prince eavesdropping on Cat, hiding behind a corner

Cream/Diamonds and Pearls - he's running down the hall being chased

3EG - not sure which video but opens with Donna eavesdropping, hiding while listening to him playing guitar.

Judith Hill's electronic press kit - he's stalking her, chasing her from parking lot

What are some other recurring tropes in Prince videos?

Cream/Diamonds and Pearls - he's running down the hall being chased and does this Laurel and Hardy overly dramatic run where he nearly falls

UTCM - P & JB run from Mary's house and P does that same sorta theatrical hop/leg out/turn/run

I've even seen him do it in earlier live performances.

As kids we'd call it a "break out".

Also, whenever his eye makeup and expressions would be particularly Charlie Chaplin-esque, which was pretty much throughout his entire career.
