I hope to see more Viking games, they will play 'Lets Go Crazy' after each touchdown this season. I'm officially a fan! 💜 http://www.nme.com/news/p...ium=social

The singer was, I believe, one of the Steeles - either Jearlyn or Jevetta.
From what I understand, the orchestra parts were arranged by none other than Tommy Barbarella. Tommy, if you lurk the Org, that was fantastic!

If you want the full halftime performance (and one that probably won't be pulled anytime soon): https://youtu.be/yUcwsmDZ4jg
The sound starts out rough, but it gets better.

Words can't even describe how emotional it was to be there last night. I had huge goosebumps and a big lump in my throat throughout the performance -- the orchestra was beautiful (the video didn't even do it justice).
When his guitar riff filled the stadium, timed with the pictures and purple confetti flowing down from above -- the tears flowed. People around me were crying and joyously cheering at the same time. And singing along through tears. I was a little embarrassed when the lights came on (because I was clearly crying), but comforted to see how many people in my section also had tears flowing....it was incredibly touching and therapeutic to see so many people (including some "macho" football fanatic grown men) wiping tears from their faces when the lights came back on. Complete strangers were hugging and comforting eachother. We all miss him so much. So, so much. [Edited 9/20/16 0:05am]

It reminds me of the Purple Rain viewing I went to after his death. Not a dry eye in the place. Every time he came on the screen, every one screamed, every song, everyone danced. All of us perfect strangers, cried and celebrated his life in that movie theater, and it was one of the most moving experiences of my life, so I can more than imagine the atmosphere that you were a part of.
