Sounds fun, so wonder what time this is in Sydney, Austrlalia? Google says 10am Saturday our time? Drat - I have an appointment

I tried twice and both times it says 8pm PST is 1pm Australian time. Not sure if you have a few different zones that span across 3 hours though... hope it works out so you can join!

I shall have to log on and see what happens, the time zone is coming up different to me - in Australia though we have different time zones ourselves, but yes now google does say 1pm. Hope I can join in

Since the UTCM movie night was a blast, and we were talking about Purple Rain & Graffiti Bridge - we chose to do Purple Rain virtual movie night this Friday. While there was no waving around this time, I have been reminded to put out the thread - I tried to get to it sooner but also organizng two Prince fundraisers in MPLS - cut a girl some slack will ya

Come one Come ALL - Open invite! If you are free, come join us - in the chat room! Meet some more of your fellow fams.

What: Purple Rain

When: Friday Sepetember 23rd 8pm PST/11pm EST/and whatever time that means for your local time zone.

Where? On the comfort of your couch! Feel free to join us in the chatroom though.

***There will be a 15 minute buffer...then we will officially press play at 8:15PST/11:15EST (and like a small break then watching the music vids afterwards).

I realized that this time doesn't meet ALL world wide fams - we went with those who were in the room at the time. I highly recommend fams across the pond to organize one too - it's a fun time with fellow fams - OR if you are an insomniac or super early bird morning person - come join us anyway!

I'm gonna try to be there and this time I'll be ready with my jammies & maybe a drink and wont have to stand the whole movie!

I made this drink for my Prince themed 40 1/2 th B-day party a couple weeks ago. It was ok. Only thing was we used concentrade pinapple juice instead of completely fresh. Plus we mad it in a batch for like 50 people, so I'm sure it wasnt as good as it could have been. There are others on Pintrest as well. Might try one of those. OPPS...just saw the lime juice. Maybe that would have helped!

Ooh good to know. I haven't checked into other ones on Pinterest. I HAVE had some Purple Rain cocktails at clubs and they've all been pretty good. See U there! Yes...sitting would probably be more comfortable

How does this Virtual Movie work? Will you be providing a link for us to use or do we enter into the chat link at the top of the web site, or something else? I'm interested, but not sure what I need to do to join in?

Hi rwhiting We all join in the chatroom at the top of the website, at 8pm (or thereabouts) and will be collectively pressing play on our individual devices - some people have it on a DVD/Blu-ray on the TV at home. Some have it on their laptop, and I think some even did Google rental or netflix etc Hope that helps, and definitely hope you can join us
