The Cross

I've been working on an instrumental version of The Cross and took it to Church today. Purely because it's a beautiful place and has wonderful acoustics, I am not a religious nut.

Here's where I'm at so far..

Thanks for watching biggrin

You should be very proud of yourself! That is such a gorgeous arrangement!!! The church definitely helped set a mood, and did help sonically. I wish I could play guitar like you, i'm just a plain ol' chords kid. Lol.

Thanks y'all, glad you like it. Sorry about the sound quality, my iphone doesn't pickup sound too well in the Church. There's a lot of hiss for some reason confused

This is the Church....The most remote Church in Wales. I spend a lot of time jamming in this Church cool

That was absolutely beautiful, and wow that church is beautiful! I read a lot of historical books from the regency England era and that church seems so familiar to me due to similar descriptions by authors. biggrin

That was really moving. The Cross is one of my favorites, and I love the guitar so hearing The Cross interpreted this way was so good. Thank you for posting this!!

Coincidentally or maybe not...

I got my new Marshall DSL40C combo amp and new Les Paul Epiphone out today and learned how to play the beginning and basic guitar licks that make up the first part of 'The Cross'.

God must have put Prince's spirit on our minds today.

I shit you not.

I also tried to play some Jimi...I think it was 'Hey Joe' but I don't remember.

The guitar gods intricate guitar licks make playing them on your own hard as fuck!

if Prince were sat on his purple cloud right now he'd be smiling. Although if he were alive you would be recieving a cease & decist!

That was great! Keep it up! I like to think Prince would've approved. Also, I'll have to visit that valley next time I'm in Snowdonia.
