http://www.kiss925.com/au...neighbour/ I hope the link works. It was an interview on Kiss. She said he grew herbs and gave her a flower pot that she is holding onto. She said he was very private and loved the sound of children laughing. The neighbors kids were jumping on a tambourine next door, and kids ran to their mom and said Prince peeked his head over the fence and said khe liked hearing them laugh.

I haven't listened to the interview yet but I'm pretty sure you meant trampoline. But this made me picture Prince throwing a bunch of tambourines to the kids like he used to do at concerts. lol

yes, I fixed the spelling. wink

"We just let people talk & say whatever they want 2 say. 9 times out of 10, trust me, what's out there now, I wouldn't give nary one of these folks the time of day. That's why I don't say anything back, because there's so much that's wrong" - P, Dec '15

"He never touched alcohol." Uh, was she in the house? It's a big fucking house - was she peeping in? She sounds like every other generic soundbite out there.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

Well he declined her offer for a drink so she is just going by what he said to her. We know he did not allow people to bring alcohol into Paisley Park or sell any at the parties. As a JW he should not have been drinking and I remember him saying in interview once that he had a problem with alcohol but Larry Graham had helped him with it. He could have beat his issue and really did not drink.

Hmm...I thought he was never much of a drinker in his career, other than the odd glass of wine or champagne.

HTF does a sensitive soul like this...alone?

I can't even. sad

I remember early on when I first became a fan, one of the things that intrigued me about him was his sensitivity. This side if him I found extremely endearing and some of my respect for him is because of this. I thought, wow, he understands, he's so cool and so sensitive at the same time. I used to call him Mr sensitivity when I spoke about him to a fellow fan. We loved him a lot.

We can't turn the clock back or undo the things that have happened, we just have to learn to somehow accept them.

I know how you feel.

You thought wrong. Reference April 21, 1996. He also referenced drinking in "The Holy River". Prince liked his wine. Not often, but he drank.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

-- I think this was all around the time his child died and his marriage was ending. It is also around the time Larry was hanging around. I doubt it was anything serious but maybe enough for him to ban alcohol from Paisley Park. Drugs and drink can ruined a singing voice and we know right up to his last performance there was nothing wrong with his voice. I honestly believe he had pain and no one thinks that taking meds for a real reason will turn into anything addictive.

Umm if Prince were my neighbor? And he peeks over the fence even just once? I'm gonna have to quit my job so I can hang out in the yard 24/7. So it's a good thing we were never neighbors lol

I'd be sleep-deprived and with no income, on the road to bankruptcy and homelessness. Utter destruction is what we're talking about lol But hey, I would have gotten a pretty good chance of seeing Prince! Priorities! razz wacky biggrin

What I admired about Prince he demand to have his boundaries very well. He tell people not to take pictures of him and also no alcohol and at his parties. And people still respect his rules. Prince taught me that most times people disrespect you when you allow them to.

I am studying the likes of Prince, Janet Jackson, and anita baker of how to live their life privately especially them being stars.

The comment about the children broke my heart. Kevin Smith said Prince danced with his toddler daughter at PP. If he was afraid of losing another child to a birth defect, why didn't he adopt? There are plenty of children who needed good homes. I suppose his exes know why, but he would have been a wonderful father.
