Stevie Nicks to pay tribute to Prince

Stevie is quoted in the Lexington Herald
Today as being sad about the death of her friend whom helped her with her hit "Stand back"
She is keeping it on her set list as tribute to him during her upcoming tour.

Always loved her fashion style and adored her in American Horror Story: Coven.

I only found out that they were friends and her being inspired by Little Red Corvette to write Stand Back recently after April.

She's a class act to remember P this way.

I love Stevie Nicks and will be going to see the show in St Paul. I've seen her a few times here and she always mentions Prince. It was interesting in an article I read for Billboard or Rolling Stone where she said she wished she could have been on stage with Prince, but that it never happened. According to Princevault it did. At an aftershow after the 1987 MTV Awards. It says she was on stage during Forever In My Life. It was also interesting when the list of people that inspired Prince came out and she was on the list. I don't think there were any other artists outside of his band members and proteges that were on that list.

Okaaaay. I would expect to go to her show and hear stand back.
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

sad saw that...

Though Nicks and Prince were friends, the two didn't hang out much. One thing they disagreed on was drug use. "He hated them. And he hated that I did drugs and that's probably why we didn't hang out more," she said.

"He was worried that I would die of an accidental drug overdose and my sadness is that he did die of an accidental drug overdose. He's up there looking down, saying to me, 'Sweetie, I can't believe it happened either.'"

Love Stevie. She'd be worth getting to perform at the tribute (if/when THAT ever occurs).

Enjoyed that episode on AHS! One of my favorite seasons of the show.
