I loved yourpoignant essay of your experience with Prince. Prince is the most appealing when he exposes his human side. Your account captures this perfectly. By the way, what is your native language? |

Nine years ago today, I didn't know it yet but I was about to meet Prince. Prince the multi-talented artist, Prince the musician, the singer, dancer, poet, philosopher, humanist... Prince, my HERO.
Back in April and shortly after he "left", I wrote a note recounting this incredible story, and also to say goodbye and thank him for all he meant to me. As for most of you, the road since April 21st, has been a very hectic one, and today more than ever, the tears are still present and the emotions still raw.
In memory of him and of that very special night, I now wish to openly share this recount with the people to whom - I hope - it will matter the most, his fans. Please feel free to share and comment, but also please be kind, I am not a native English speaker or writer, and my writing skills are very basic. This is not an exercise in style, only a recount of this beautiful experience. Lastly, this was also written with non-fans in mind, I thefore didn't include too many technical details. Y'all are welcome to org.note me if you have any questions anyway.
God bless y'all! xxxx

Thank you for sharing this. You are blessed. It seems a little easier for me when I read about special memories like this. It's never surprising how many have a very common thread, admiration and gratitude never to be forgotten. I'm certain he is smiling. You are very well written, I wish you well on your paper, I bet the words are gonna come much easier now. "✌ and b wild"💜
Thanks for your kind words Skee123, it still brings me joy to remember all this now and to be able to share those happy memories with the people who appreciated him the most. 💜 Life Matters |

I find this to be very true. I loved it when he relaxed a little and opened himself up to people. Interestingly, he seemed to be able to do this more easily while onstage. As for me, I am a native French speaker but I have lived in the UK for over 20 years. Life Matters |

I notice that the word "cherish" appears quite a few times throughout this thread... Believe it or not, I actually cherished these events so much that I barely spoke about them until quite recently. I was worried that if it was shared or open, I would somewhat lose the beauty of it or that it wouldn't belong to me any longer. I was so wrong.
After 4/21, things became too emotional for me, and sharing this and talk about him with those who care somewhat revived the joy and also alleviated the sorrow, making this whole thing a lot easier to for me to deal with. If that makes sense.
Thanks again to each and everyone who has taken the time to read this and comment on it. This truly means a lot to me. Love you all.

So true AnnaStesia10, and what still amazes me about him is how despite his greatness and fame, he was still so humble - reserved and cautious at times perhaps - but still humble about the whole thing. And little moments like these also revealed what mattered to him the most: his music, and his fans. He was always true to his heart in that respect, and there was probably a lot more love in there than people realised. Life Matters |
