Would Prince be okay with these Paisley Park tours? I have to wonder what he would think about all of this. I know that he had stated that he wanted PP to be some kind of a museum but that was before he knew he would actually pass there. And what about the elevator? Is that part of the tour? As in, is it needed to get people up and down floors. I'm sure there are stairs but how will that work? Hopefully the elevator is not part of the tour.

No I dont think he would. Im sure he never dreamed he would die in the building. So Im going to say he would have issues with it.

Right. I don't think he would be either--- I know Elvis has Graceland but he didn't actually die there. I'm feeling conflicted about PP. At first I wanted to visit- now I'm not so sure.

You know if Prince was still alive and he turned PP into a museum then I would visit, but now its just too sad knowing he died there and it just feels wrong to me. So no I wont be going.

I guess I'm wrong! I didn't know Elvis actually passed there... .I will have to go google it.... but yes, seems wrong to have tours when he actually passed at PP. I was watching the Oprah interview last night and they were sitting in the chairs in front of the elevator and it says "elevation" right beside it. Still seems so bizarre that he passed there. Yeah, I don't think I will visit either. I really wanted to but it's feeling icky....

I'm not familiar with the layout of Paisley Park but if upstairs is part of the tour and there's stairs leading there, I'd imagine the elevator would still have to be available for those who are physically disabled. If the milk turns out to be sour, I aint the kinda pussy to drink it!

Yes, he wanted it to be a museum. "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

He let people in there all the time when he was alive. We donโt mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Exactly! He had people there all the time. He would dj for them just for fun for parties there, not to mention the endless shows he did, etc. Just regular folks most of the time. He wanted it to become a museum for goodness sake! This seems to be exactly what he wanted.

I know of all his shows and that he was always letting fans in, my question was, since he actually died there would he be okay with it?

I think he'd be okay, at some of his concerts 2014 he invited the audience to come visit him at PP. One could argue that he was joking but I don't think he was. I think he wanted his fans to see it. Baby, you're a star.

From what I understand - the second floor will not be part of the tour - offices and private residence. And I am sure there is more than one elevator - one for visitors, a freight elevator and maybe even a third (private elevator for our beloved) Regardless, I am almost 100% positive no elevator will be available for obvious reasons and since the 2nd floor in not in use for the tours, no need for one -for friends that are in a wheelchair. Peace, love and healing. [Edited 9/13/16 13:14pm]

Do we know if people are allowed to even take photos? I'm going to assume not. These are guided tours. No one will be able to just wander around PP without a tour guide present. They were doing guided tours at Paisley Park parties the last 2 years for $40. I don't think Prince would have an issue with it. I don't think he would have wanted a place that he breathed so much life into to be shut down when he passed. It's still a little soon in my opinion, but that's just my opinion. It seems he kept a lot of outfits and instruments from years past, so I'm thinking he wanted it to be seen one day. As far as I know there is only one elevator in Paisley Park. If that area is on the tour, it will be a little haunting. It's the reality of what happened and part of the history, so I don't think it should be excluded. TRUE BLUE

I haven't heard anything about taking photo's either, I would assume no. The website says the cheaper tour is a self guided tour and the VIP tour will be with a guide. Since the tours are timed, I figure the cheaper tour must have some sort of guide that will keep the people moving. TRUE BLUE
