I'm nor disputing his knowledge but if some asked you the time or date and simply swore at you and called you an idiot for not knowing it then you could argue it's unacceptable. If you think Bart is civil, I am surprised.

It could also be argued that Fortuneandserendipity is trolling. Bart is rude most of the time but at least when it comes to seriously discussing Prince's music he's factual and he doesn't make-up nonsense, which is why he's always had my respect despite his poor manners. It is ironic in the sense that Bart has the knowledge but doesn't seem to generally like Prince. Obviously there is no problem with this, you could be an expert in Orchids but dislike Orchids. It just makes for an unpleasant experience. I just waited for years for Bart to tell us what he lives not what he hates, I'm interested but that day never came. It's his choice but it seems like a huge waste of knowledge.

Okay so - it was a given to me that I'd be grabbing Chocolate Invasion and Slaughterhouse at this point - and I have them both in flac and MP3 and I will compare them myself and judge whether or not I feel I made the right decision whenever I have time to do so.
At this point, other than For You, which is an imminent purchase for me atm, the only releases I have left now are the instrumental ones.
Keep in mind I've already got Madhouse 8 and 16, and even 24, so the ones I'm talking about now are the following:
NEWS C-Note Kamasutra
I know I'm grabbing all of them at some point, likely starting with Xpectation since it sounds pretty legit to my ears.
However, while on Tidal I checked out C-Note and NEWS and by god, based on the samples they don't sound too great to me. What do you all think about these? Again though - I'll be getting them all soon enough - I am just curious about this.

You'd make a good mod! I was more bothered by his first few responses, where he kept saying 'nonsense'. I was going to call him out for being a philistine tho [Edited 9/16/16 13:19pm] The world's problems like climate change can only be solved through strategic long-term thinking, not expediency. Believe me I wasn't trolling. I just think the contract was protracted anyway, hence the nuance and confusion. Like I follow football really closely and contracts there are virtually meaningless because they can be reneged on in so many ways. It doesn't take much for a football player's contract to be torn up or renegotiated. The world's problems like climate change can only be solved through strategic long-term thinking, not expediency. Oh my goodness you guys. I can't believe you're all still going at it haha Getting real serious about the WB contract thing in here.
No offense meant or anything - hope I don't sound like I'm being a parent or something - or talking down to you guys.

Totally confused right there. I thought as they weren't counted amongst the five albums owed they wouldn't be part of the deal. . It's genuinely astonishing how you lot fail to discuss substance and instead focus on irrelevant shite like "decorum". Why the fuck would you care about what I like? Is this what is keeping you lot awake at night, considering you discuss this ad infinitum? © Bart Van Hemelen

The fact that you think civility and politeness are irrelevant will obviously come as no shock to anyone on this forum. To say that people don't focus on substance after your last few posts is truly mindbending. [Edited 9/17/16 9:20am]

. Of course I do. Also note that you're equating being factually wrong with an opinion. No, "the sky is dotted purple" isn't an opinion, neither is "the earth is flat". .
. Nothing is, that is you projecting. .
. Again: nonsense. That's your lot's problem: you make up these inane stories based on what you would do and then pass them off as truth. .
. See, there's this word again: attacking. You're projecting again. © Bart Van Hemelen

No "audible difference"? I convert a FLAC file with different MP3 encoders and they'll all sound different... And even if I use the same encoder (e.g. LAME) but different release versions (say the old 3.97b standard vs. now) they'll all sound different. I'm not even speaking of "quality" so much as coloring... they all color the sound.

So - if I understand we had these collections of tracks that were released: . TCI - already available save The Dance, though some versions differ slightly TS - already available, though some versions differ slightly The War - already available as such ONA piano - already available as such C-Note - already available as such Xpectation - already available as such Glam Slam Mix - already available as such . What are your thoughts on The War? I'm going to be listening to this tonight and I'm very curious about it. Some people seem to really like it and it is definitely a strange curio it seems within P's career. I already bought it, so I'm listening to it anyway - but what do you guys think? I've never hear even a second of it so I'm real curious.
