My twin sister and I just got back to North Carolina from a fabulous time going to all things related to Prince in Minneapolis and Chanhassen. It was kind of sad seeing all those places that meant so much to Prince because he's no longer here. Here's where we went:

Minneapolis

Hard Rock Cafe (3 Prince outfits on display - sure were tiny)

House Prince grew up in

Purple Rain house

Hospital Prince was born in (different name now)

Methodist Church Prince was married in

First Avenue Club

Electric Fetus Record Store (Prince shopped there)

Chanhassen

Paisley Park (still lights up in purple at night)

Caribou Coffee (where Prince was spotted several times)

Wall mural at movie theatre Prince went to

There's a whole lot more I'd like to go back to but I guess that will have to wait until another Minnesota trip! And I'm so jealous of those of you going to Paisley Park when it opens next month!

Minniapolis is very special - once you're there you realize why Prince stayed there. People are so warm and welcoming and the arts community is vibrant and thriving and its supported hea;thily in this city.
