My mother had attended this awards ceremony...It was at the Apollo...I think it was called the Rhythm & Blues awards ceremony...the Family Stone was there (without Sly  ) & I distinctly remember my mother calling me on her cellphone & whisperin furiously "Prince is here, girl!!! Prince, girl Prince!!"...THEN she hung up on me in the middle of her freeking out, making me almost have a heart attack.  Needless 2 say, I had my step father drive me 2 Harlem, USA in like 15 minutes so we could...ahem..."pick my mother up on time"  ...It usually takes us like 30-45 minutes 2 get there...
