cjmc2006	Purple Rain back on Billboard 200! I am impressed that Purple Rain went back in the top 200. I wonder what could happen to boast up Record Sales for PR and The Very Best of Prince!

THE VERY BEST OF PRINCE sold over 1 million copies world wide, and over 500,000 copies in the U.S. alone.

In the 3 days since his death it was reported that over 4 million songs and albums were purchased.

PURPLE RAIN is still in the TOP 20 on the TOP VINYL sales charts on BillBoard.

The biggest selling albums since his death in order are:

1. THE VERY BEST OF PRINCE

2. PURPLE RAIN

3. THE HITS/THE B-SIDES

4. 1999

5. ULTIMATE PRINCE

LonelyStarfish	Possibly the announcement of PP becoming a museum. That was a pretty lowkey news story too so that's a good sign.

LBrent	Does that mean he'll get more awards next year? I don't know how it goes with Platinum selling records posthumous.

feeluupp	Actually I just checked the BILLBOARD charts and only THE VERY BEST OF PRINCE is on the TOP 200. It is currently at # 179, last week at # 138.

Google Play had the Purple Rain album on sale for 99 cents last week.
