Ev'rybody on the Org show yer love for... Irresistible Bitch! Is this track great or what? Prince at his most stripped down nastiest funkiest best! and he played it live at his 1993 tours, how cool was that! [Edited 9/6/16 15:20pm]

I love the BSIDES version, a great song, sooo funky, but why does it sound so different from the Purple Rain album? wasn't it re-worked in that era?

Which version do you prefer? The earlier one is probably more interesting and experimental, but this is one of the few occasions when I actually prefer the later version (as found on "The B-sides"). I'm yet to hear a live version that I didn't like.

Yeah, it's not even close which version I prefer. Everything about the version released with Let's Pretend We're Married is better to me. Well, I guess you could make a case for the other version being funkier. But the seedy, sexy feel of the 4:11 version is missing from the other one and I prefer the vocals (both backing and lead) of the single version, too. That said, I can appreciate the longer version for what it is and I do listen to it.

The b-side version is CLASSIC, but I gotta say it's all about that demo. Keep your headphones on.

So, "nasty" is okeydoke when we"re talking about music? Irresistible is spelled wrong too. Brand new boogie without the hero.

Irresistible Bitch is timeless to me. It's so funky and raw.

Was just jammin 2 the unreleased version earlier "turn it up!", crazy vocals n shizz. The b side is also slammin. Couldn't even imagine a version that doesn't fade during that funky "everybody, everybody dance..." part . For all time I am with you, you are with me.

I remember buying let's pretend we're married on Japanese import and being amazed when I played the b side. Probably the first time that I realized Prince put some of his best music on b sides There's always a rainbow 🌈 , at the end of every rain ☔️

"Love the way you walk....Love the way talk...." Yeah, it's the jam!! Welcome home class. We've come a long way. - RIP Prince

Love the two live versions that come to mind...
1. from the Purple Rain tour (this number is what made me kind of take notice of Prince in a remarkable way, and had me rewinding the VHS, nothing else, just that part of Bitch/Possessed)
2. The Act 1 arrangement in 1993. With all the horns and loops.
I think the studio b-side version is one of the sweetest wicked things he ever recorded. My art book: http://www.lulu.com/spotl...ecomicskid

I think I dig it more than the released version, he's so raw & screamy on it, can't help but to that!!

I was about to mention this. Just wished it was a bit longer . The unreleased version in sequence with Feel U Up is brilliant, so raw and I just crack up at his vocals.

. . This was where I first heard Possessed and I wanted that song immediately. I recorded the audio of that VHS to a cassette and played it in my car non-stop for quite a while, especially Possessed. Years later, when I finally tracked down the full unreleased version, I was initially disappointed. I wanted that hard driving tempo like the live version. Eventually I warmed up to the other version but to me they're like two different songs. . As for Irresistible Bitch, the '85 live version is probably my favorite. Starts out just Prince droppin the first verse over Wendy's guitar and then the band comes in strong behind him... then of course moving straight to Possessed...

The live version performed during the Purple Rain Tour with Possessed is much better than the studio version. Much funkier!

I love it, never heard about an extended version before, didn't Questlove also recently comment on a different version of 17 Days, something about it not being healthy.
